Has Gillian officially left New Order?

Is Gillian "officially" no longer a member of New Order? Does anyone know if she is at work on the new album (and indeed if Bernard, Peter and Stephen are in the studio)?

I don't think so.

She's now out of the band, but there aren't news about her NO definitive abandon.

I'm not going to bother starting another thread just for this, but does anyone know if Gillian made any contribution to "Get Ready"? Did she write any of the tracks or play on anything?

Seriously tho' I hope, like the majority of us, that it's a temporary leave of absence. No disrespect to Phil, but she's nicer on the eye, and no-one quite does nonchalance like our Gillian :)

Well, gosh. Didn't she sing on Someone Like You? (And a damn fine job she did too).

Hmmm.... I don't think so. I'm pretty sure it was a session backing singer, someone like Denise Johnson (Primal Scream, backing vocals on Electronic's "Get The Message"). In any case, I don't believe it was Gillian. Could be wrong though.

I thought they moved the recording of the new album to the farm so she could be a part of it. Or is that just wishful gossip? I miss her...

Gillian (but not Steve) was actually spotted by myself only a month ago in the local B&Q superstore browsing amongst the garden furniture section.....make no mistake, it was definiteley her, I see them around Macc enough from time to time cos they only live a short distance up the road from our place as it is.

Like the dignified fan that I was, I chose to leave her well alone to her own affairs and not pester her like some inane drooling sycophant.

So what if she isn't with new Order anymore, it's not as if she is going to run off and Hobknob with the likes of Puff Daddy is she?

+1 for missing Gillian. But she's gotta do what she's gotta do.

I believe I missed that she left the band. I thought she was just not with them because of the birth of her daughter. When did she leave?

Medical problems with her daughter... that I think are ironed out now.

I hope she hasn't left completely; it wouldn't be the same without her. You need the four of them to make New Order.

Eh? Phil just filled in on the live gigs, he didn't have anything to do with the album. And I didn't notice him contributing anything live that Gillian didn't/couldn't.
