What would you like a Bernard Sumner solo album to be like?

Sorry, screwed up a bit posting the questions. They should read:

Bernard writing, producing and mixing everything singlehandedly, and playing all instruments (guitar and keyboards). Very electropop, dominated by synthesizers and dance beats.

Bernard writing and producing with assorted collaborators (maybe including Arthur Baker, Bobby Gillespie, Johnny Marr....).

Bernard writing and producing everything by himself, but accompanied by anonymous bassists and drummers (along the lines of solo albums by John Squire and Bernard Butler).

An avant-garde album mostly of instrumentals and ambient pieces.

I don't really like the second option...colaborations are sometimes "dangerous" for the solo artist.

But i voted for it. I prefer it to the fourth "terrible" one.

Personally I want Bernard to do an album entirely on his own, writing, producing, mixing and playing only keyboards and guitar to accompany his own singing. Realistically, he'd need the help of at least a couple of people to work as engineers and mixers, unless he was going to do something on an eight-track in his bedroom a la Ian Brown and Unfinished Monkey Business. But I want a record that's as close as you can get to pure, undiluted Sumner, this time doing it for himself baby.

if it was the first option, i'd say we'd be waiting for that solo record forever! i hear he's quite a perfectionist in the studio and it looks like a lot of work playing everything yourself. nah, i think the third choice would be better.

In answer to the question - the sound of Barney stuffing his chops with pickled eggs, slurping yoghurt, and chomping on copious amounts of McCain's home fries, should do me just fine.

Nothing else comes close.
