Polls - enough is enough

We've had a spate of really shite polls recently, as well as the usual recycling of old polls by people who haven't checked to see if they have been done before. Even the long-running Survivor polls have become lame and predictable now.

Have we overcooked this goose ? Is it now time to restrict poll creation to moderators only ? Probably. I think the wrestling poll was the straw that broke this particular camel's back. I don't have time to wade through the oceans of crap to find posts of interest, and I know I'm not alone in this respect. Please Nicos, introduce a poll creation restriction !

why not a polls-only forum? This way Benny and like-minded NOOL'ers(me, for instance...) wouldn't have to endure those dreadful thingies! The forum's name:

The polls forum needs to be added to the pull-down menu - nobody will think of looking in the "Forum Index" page.

Could I suggest that a moderator moves the polls to the "State of the Nation" forum and posts a fixed thread at the top of Digital Republic advising people that the polls have been moved there please ?

Would it be possible to remove the option to create a new poll in all forums bar State of the Nation? Once the forum is added to the drop down menu, and all polls have been moved, it should be clear enough to everyone but no doubt there will be some that don't read the fixed thread and still create a poll.

Yes there are DEAD.It really is no longer of interest if REGRET is BETTER than BLUE MONDAY. Now if we could discover the origin of the BEST VIDEO COLLECTION or why FAC 53 is really such a great cover then you would be talking.Let's have FUN and good honest banter again and get more NEW ORDER stories back into vogue.There is so much still to be explained and investigated and even mentioning clips of OLD interviews may give NEW NOOL'S a better insight into the group.Just a thought...that is why i tend to send the music out NOW rather than post because the MESSAGE is then told more DELIBERATE.
