The obvious one that springs to mind is Here To Stay but what other big tunes have never been given a live workout? Reckon there's got to be some biggies they've completely ommited.

This is the complete list of songs that haven't been played live, but a little bird told me that Here To Stay and Such A Good Thing will be appearing when they do finally get back on stage.
Who's the little bird?!
Think they called it right on the stuff they've not played live. Surprised more of the GR stuff didn't get an airing though. Would loved to have seen "Don't Do It" in the live arena mind, always liked the way that one comes crashing in.. .
My missus !!
We know that Here To Stay was sequenced and rehearsed for last year's gigs (but for some reason they weren't confident with it) and that Barney loves Such A Good Thing, having insisted it went on Retro.
Eeek. Let's just hope Hooky and Steve put their foot down over SAGT. I don't think it is. A good thing, that is.
Here To Stay was played on TOTP wasn't it? Does that count as a "live" performance in NOOL's eyes? ![]()
They did technically play Sputnik once, they added it to the end of In A Lonely Place at Perth Red Parrot in 1987 - fantastic version too !

Reads like a "Worst Of New Order" list. Probably for the best that we missed out on most of 'em.
Originally posted by Marco Pleil Well...The Happy One was played live, if only by Hooky only. Doesn't that count?
No, that wasn't at a gig !

No,it doesn´t. They were just miming not playing live.
You can see the full list online by clicking "History" then "Live History", this includes all other bands.
Vietnam wasn't played live either ![]()
Alright, there is a few missing from Tim's list, but I guess it was meant to be :D
Haystack Ode To Joy Rocking Carol Theme
Altough the later one was maybe played at their first gig? Who knows.
And the Happy One was played live, but on TV.. sometimes I ask myself if I should put those tv live appearances in the live database, what do you think?
IMHO, they should give those songs a chance in the next tour:
Behind Closed Doors Here To Stay Player in the League Primitive Notion Someone Like You Young Offender
Vicious Streak, Run Wild and Sabotage might be a little too boring live, especially for people who only knows the hits..
Such A Good Thing live? Seesh, well, it it takes that to make Bernard happy, why not... it's not so bad, it's not just the best they could play though.

The first four weren't exactly New Order songs, were they ? I didn't include them as they don't really count ! Haystack was written for someone else, the two Christmas Carols were a pisstake, and as for Theme, I've got no idea what it was. A doodle ?
I can honestly see them opening with (or at least playing) Such A Good Thing - I really like it, and it would work well live.
After I would hear "Such a Good Thing" live I could go and lay down in grave. That's my favourite melody and lyrics ever. Such a good thing it defintely is. I wish New Order performed only that kind of songs.
Here To Stay and SAGT would be great. Any idea why Spooky has never been played live? Strange, considering it was a single.
here to stay would be a fantastic song to end the evening with--get everyone dancing and set them off into the streets in an adrenaline-filled, upbeat mood.
good thing they've skipped on chemical, though. that would be like popping the balloon of musical joy.
I´d love to hear "they walked in line" and "disorder" live again.Would them sound good in Barney's voice ?
The Eternal should be their new gig opener (maybe with Ian's voice) ... seriously. That would be something.

Who stole my DRUGS :p
Hands up who wants to see Player In The League played live. Fantastic track, I've just played it 5 times on the bounce. Wonderful stuff.
