I believe too many polls is just annoying, and hence I'm doing my best to keep this forum clean, just like we did with off-topic posts!

Seriously, Nic, good idea : there's been a whole host of polls springing up recently, some of them only slight variations on a theme : gets kinda repetitive :(

In all seriousness though, you may think the polls I created were irrelevent & daft, but you clearly hadn`t noticed that there was still plenty of New Order fans who took the time to vote!

That said Hibsty, I'm not sure drifting off-topic hasn't become a nagging and detrimental 'all-too-often' addition to this site. Sometimes it is very difficult to find true New Order info. and I myself have spent countless seconds wading through endless posts about bangers, spark plugs and even comments about soil!?, just to get to the merest snippit of genuine info. about the two bands.

It would be appreciated if people could please curtail making flippant remarks and try (as best as possible) to keep to the central theme of New Order, Joy Division and the other bands made as a result of the temporary NO resting period.

And for anyone who's interested, the new monster film Van Helsing can be found at this internet address.

This was discussed SEVERAL TIMES.. it was either limiting the amount of polls per day, or doing what I did..

Almanso started it all with a "what's the best" poll for each and every album, that almost took the full first page :lol:

Since many people requested it, I did what I had to do!

Not quite, but that would be good for a laugh though ... That's where you should find things like the 'wrestling' thread which when sober isn't funny at all. In fact, I've been following that one just to see who would actually respond. 16 votes out of 149 views I think is a clear indication that this has gone too far. James, nothing personal but I think you've just tipped the balance. Your poll along with the Sponge Bob one is proof that we're running out of ideas. In fact, the more I think about, I don't want to see another poll until the new album is released !

its a good idea to restrict the polls. In the beginning its a nice feature. But after sometime people start polls like "what kind of colour underwear were you wearing, when you heard blue monday for the first time".
