Having had time to watch Later... again ,last night was good but not great.TV studios really have no atmosphere no matter how many people they manage to stuff into the audience.Much preferred their performance on Big World Cafe back in 1989 when they were playing tracks off Technique to a fantasticly boistrous audience at Brixton Academy. Saying that ,Crystal was good albeit a bit out of tune(vocals),Regret was magic(much better),60mph was good(great Hooky bass),LWTUA was ok(brilliant drumming by Stephen),but the overall mix felt flat. If it was me I would keep 60 mph, as it's the next single to promote.But drop the others.Instead,they should have played: Primitive Notion,True Faith,60MPH and Atmosphere or Transmission. The banter between them was the best bit.Bloody hilarious!! Just watching them cringe whilst they watched their TOTP performance was classic stuff. They should've had a program to themselves instead of having to sit through the othert dire muso wank festivities.;)

Yeah, I don't like the way they play it - it's like they're trying to fuck it up or something: it's also the only time that Steven Morris is going apeshit on his drums - like he hates the song or something! Anyone else feel the same about this?

I read somewhere in Muffy's posted topic on the same programme that Gillian Gilbert and her sister were spotted lurking in the audience during "Crystal" Is this true or is it another wind-up? Bloody hell, some people are so hawk-eyed it's untrue..... I didn't video it so I'm going to have to wait for the repeat to see if this is indeed the case....

Didn't see Gillian & Kim either. That Mr Jarvis, he'll have taped & watched the show over 10 times by now, such a man for detail that I wouldn't dare doubt him.

Barney & Hooky's indifference to the other acts was classic. While Ryan Adam's was hamming it up thru one of his bland folk rock numbers, Barney was sitting down supping a glass of white wine, yawning & staring at the floor. So you're not interested then?

I think it was the two girls in t-shirts laughing at Barney's dancing during Crystal.They were the only members of the studio audience actually on the same level of the band,where as everyone else was in stands made of scaffolding.

I watched the programme with my friend , who although not a "fan" is certainly up to date with New Order goings on, (my fault entirely)

She came out with a storming quote this evening...
