On the clear plastic PROMO case for this single that never made it. RELEASE DATE JULY 5th Taken from the album "TWISTED TENDERNES",LATE AT NIGHT is the new single from ELECTRONIC(BERNARD SUMNER and JOHNNY MARR).The follow up to thr TOP 20 hit "VIVID",LATE AT NIGHT has been specially remixed from the album for single release.Rumours abound of appearences from ELECTRONIC on this years festival circuit.Watch this space for details......!! I STILL AM.:D

Didn't various NO-related side-project releases disappear similarly down that same Bermuda triangle round the same time? Monaco's "I Got A feeling' was also just promo-ed but never officially released by Papillon records, am I right?

"I've Got A feeling" was available as a 1-track promo from Manchester's Vinyl Exchange - I saw a couple lying about in the racks back then - in 2000. Didn't bother picking them up, mind.

The Late at Night singles were only released in France. They say "Made in EU" on them and leaked into the import bins at some stores in the US.

I've Got a Feeling was licensed to Roadrunner Records but I can't tell which country mine is from. I'm too lazy to investigate it.

'I've got a Feeling' was going to be released in the UK they were all pressed and ready but at the last minute they couldn't get clearance on a sample used so it was pulled

"Late at night" should've been a single, its such an excellent song. Unfortunately, for such a good song, there is such a terrible video. :nonono:

Yes the PROMO is excellent,the double CD was going for about £30 but as i had bought so much ELECTRONIC stuff at that time i gave it a miss.Not like me but over the last few years my collecting BUG has diminished. :nod:

Wow, that's exclusive! never even knew what other tracks were on that "aborted" single release. And Roadrunner is a strange label for it to come out on - besides, isn't that supposed to be a Metal / Heavy rock label anyway?

If I remember right...

Late At Night was pulled.. I've got a feeling was pulled (only in the UK though)... Superhighways was pulled...

basically, all the labels together forced New Order to get back together :lol:

The Electronic "best of" was also pulled..

And Mr King, which sample was used? I've never heard THAT story...

Mick i have got a copy of the LATE AT NIGHT video off Shugzv but its not the one i mean!! the one im on about is where they stay in the club for that little bit longer with the lapdancers and things get *ahem* interesting!! ;) I dont know if it was ever shown.

Thanks...this is EXACTLY the same as my PROMO except there is a small promo sticker on the outside case.My other promo is DJ......Seems that if yours is an OFFICIAL release it is the same as one of mine which i note HAS NOT got any other notes on the CD itself specifying PROMO. Thanks for the reply. Rocket Mick In conclusion i must have the OFFICIAL released one aswell but it has been passed off as a PROMO...naughty but nice!:D

I thought collecting Electronic stuff would be a breeze compared to NewOrder what with them only putting out 3 albums, how wrong was i!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :eek:

Indeed ...the extent of pulled tracks,promos that were even changed...GET THE MESSAGE for one did become very expensive and demanding.After this i stopped collecting to any degree and recently didn't bother even with PROMOS from GET READY.Down to not working,the collecting ethos itself and having to try and put more effort in with my womenfolk...all took its toll.Now if i can keep the drinking in check...note SATURDAY and i am NOT out then i should get a more meaningful LIFESTYLE again.But then again i know me and my bad habits! :nod:
