New Order with a modern touch?

The other day I heard Confusion Koma and Bones Mix and I thought it was a nice Modern twist of a New Order song. It kept most of the New Order style and sort of modernized it effectively in my opinion.

Are there any other New Order Mixes or Remixes that are a bit more modern sounding but also stay true to the actual NEW ORDER sound--in other words a remix but that does not butcher New Order's sound and song?

Can someone give me a list of these kinds of songs?

Thanks.

Nikos - I know it's not 80's but I'm a big fan of the two Perfecto mixes of World, and also the Biff & Memphis mix of TBTHOG on "The Rest Of". Check those out if you haven't done so already. I'm not normally a remix fan but IMHO these are OK.

DEFINITELY Blue Monday Hardfloor Mix. I agree 1963 95 Arthur Baker Mix is fantastic as well.

Also Bizarre Love Triangle '94 polishes the original quite well. Ruined In A Day (K-Klass Mix) is an excellent spin on that particular song.

There are some interesting remixes but none of them are better than the original NO songs.

I heard a great mix of slow jam. It was 3 minutes of silence. Much better than the original.

Which (re)mixes do you find interesting CARLOS?

subculture - the exclusive remix.. is quite good. in fact, it's the only good mix besides the original of course.

Touched By The Hand Of God has two good remixes, the previously mentioned Biff & Memphis remix, and Touched By The Hand Of BIAS. The New Order Mix of Regret rules too. Umm. Can't think of any others off hand right now. Oh, the 1996 remix of World In Motion was pretty good.

This remix of "paradise" on "Retro" is also quite nice

Obviously non of the remixes are really BETTER than the originals--but I just wanted to hear some that were close to the originals and had a nice modern flavor to them.

I like some variety and I like to keep the originals fresh as well :).

I don't agree with that... there are a few remixes better than the originals... on the top of my head:

Nineteen63 (Arthur Baker Remix) World (Perfecto Mix) Ruined in a Day (Reunited in a Day Remix) Spooky (Minimix) True Faith (Shep Pettibone's Remix Edit) Confusion (Alternative Mix)

As a matter of fact, I would sure put those version, mostly the edited version, on any best-of album instead of the original.. and to proove my point, World & Spooky have videos with the single remixes on it, as does Nineteen63.. I just don't get why they don't put the single versions on the compilation though!!

I meant the ESSENTIAL remix of Confusion, I'm always mixing it with the Alternative Remix...!!

Which album is that on Spotnick? (CONFUSION remix)

I think 1963 actually may be better than the original--but im saying more often than not originals tend to be better.
