why is Stephen the greatest?

Because he just seems like the most down to earth and friendly one of them. and he's an awesome drummer, come on! (and he teaches a good intro to logic class.
)
Because he's affable, a champion drummer, somebody who still smokes cigarettes (yowza !), loves technology, and has a smashing wife :)
Professor Steve is a rock :)
He must be cool...I wore his face on a T-shirt well after I'd outgrown it...then I ripped the sleeves off and wore it anyway.
Plus, he's always surrounded by Apple Macintoshes, much as I am right now.
And his wife is hot.

He does? I must know more!
Beacuse he was able to avoid the life of crime his father, Morris the Cat, tried to steer him towards :D

Thanks Mr. Church -
I was ready to get good and pissed (American style, that is) if our man Stephen Morris was left off of Emagic's "VIP Users" list.
Yours in Logic Platinum
he looks cool when he plays the drums. he sweats a lot and must get a good workout during every concert, yet he doesn't feel the need (like some drummers i won't mention) to take his shirt off and twirl his drumsticks.
Because he has been able to come up with some of the most intricate and powerful drum patterns I have ever heard.
And he's an...um...animal lover? I was watching the video of Newer Order (the version with Phil) performing "Transmission" for John Peel, and what I thought was a rolled up carpet under Steve's drumkit turned out to be a rather large dog.
Is that just part of life on the farm? Does he stuff the dog in his kick drum to deaden the sound? What kind of moron asks about a guy's dog?

No.The dog is called Scooby Doo and it´s a Joy Division fan, only this. ![]()
Because his cool computer graphics graced the cover of the Everything's Gone Green single. I think.
TIGHT.Absolute brilliant sound and so COOL with it.No gimmicks...no silly hairsytles....no rolling drumsticks...just PURE style and class.
Just a normal bloke with a wicked sense of humour, who drums like God and is into his iMacs.
Cool drummer, normal bloke, has stayed with Gillian all this time (they were definitely meant to be!). ![]()

i'll second that :D
god how he does the hi-hat to transmission i'll never know... my arms start to ache after around 50 seconds lol
Morris is great. As a young drummer, I was fascinated with his work in 1987, still am, really. recently ended an argument with the 511 video. Had a friend who refused to believe that new order had a real drummer. He's one of those drummers who has his own style to the point where he's immediately identifiable by his sound and technique. Rock on steve!
yeah, stephen is great. you could take away the guitars, the melodies, and still identify the song by his drum patterns and rhythms – gives new orders hit singles a distinctive drive and elegance - a remarkable drummer!
