I agree. I only set the question off out of curiousity as I thought I'd missed part of the story years ago and was just checking what was public knowledge or private.

Given some of the extremely detailed JD/NO/Factory retrospectives in magazines and books in the last 10 years where just about everybody including the engineers and roadies get interviewed, I suspect Annik gets approached by journalists occasionally to see if she wants to add a point of view. I guess she refuses - fair enough, you've got to respect that. What triggered my inital thought was the fact that at the end of these articles/books you usually get a "Where are they now?" section listing the players and her name is always strangely absent.

I used to know one of the members of the German band Malaria!, who had a couple of records on Factory Benelux. She once showed me a poster for a show she had played in '82 or 83 (I think it may have been in Belgium)and mentioned that Annik was in one of the other bands on the bill (sorry, I don't recall which band or who else played), and that she had met her and that she had in fact worked for FBN. So, it appears that she was a musician and at least at that time had accepted a certain amount of public attention, although I'm sure she wouldn't want to only be known for her personal affair of many years ago.

Well, if she's not tried to make money on the back of the whole Ian/JD thing, then fair play to her.

She could have easily done it - 'Joy Division - the Joy Story' So good for her.

And that's not a comment on Debbie, just an observation that after intruding on someone else's marriage, she realised when to keep her gob shut!
