I've not made a point of doing these little speeches upon reaching any of these milestones before...but this one seems a little different for some reason...can't say why...but here goes...
first off...
I'd like to say thanks to Nic and Sebs for giving us this wonderful site...if not for the two of you...who knows if I would have managed to find out about the gigs I've managed to make it to over the last two years...and even if I had, would I have met all the fine folks that your site has introduced me to??? Probably not...so a HUGE shout out to our webmasters...
next up...all of you on the website...there will be some specifics coming up later...but this is the part where I just say thanks to all of you that have helped brighten up my days...no matter how bad work, or life in general has been...you kids have always made the world a bit brighter...
so here we go...who else can we think of??? (and all apologies to anyone left out...I'm not at my brightest at this moment!)
Muffler and Rocket Mick...thank you for all the stuff you lads sent over...my collection would be pretty much be nothing more than albums if not for the two of you...so once again...many thanks...
next up...Jarvo...I'll never forget that fooking bearhug and you asking "What the fook happened to you last night" at Finsbury...and all the info you have helped provide here...if I'm not mistaken...you provided the info that got me my ticket to Finsbury...cheers...oh...and the pin that you gave me at Chandos...too bad I lost it with the knapsack!!!! what a moron us drunkards can be at times!!!
Johnny Giles...that text you showed me at the pub before Chandos is still one of my favorite memories of my trip...Is He Wearing a Stetson? Glad to see how you Engerlish really think of us Texans...![]()
Huntingman...your posts always make me laugh...please, don't disappear again...
Tabs...welcome to the community...now don't let me scare you off!!!! Looking forward to torturing you on the flight to Seattle!!!!! Now bring me a Bass dammit!!!!
Trevor...my wee brother...you usually do a good job of making my day brighter as well...we must meet up one of these days...hopefully we can do it at a gig by the order...
for the rest of you that I can't remember right now...thanks for the banter...you are all stars in my book...I can't think of a finer group of people to be associated with...we love the best band in the world that most people can't be bothered to pay attention to...
and last, but certainly not least...
The Shugger...what can I say mate??? I can't wait to meet up with you in Seattle again...the man that made sure I had bevvies and a shirt at Finsbury...the one that got me into Celtic...the mad bastard from Scotland..and the sender of the vid...one of these days I will get it done up for the North Americans...
Once again...I thank you all...we might be the maddest people in the world, but at least we got decent taste in music...
peace out!!!!
