Blimey, I wonder what would be on this then? Transmish, presumably? But what else?!

Maybe record "live" some songs of Get Ready?

That was the idea of the original Peel Sessions, after all.

But is it a Peel Session or an Evening Session? Evening sessions feature anything the band are playing live currently. Plus, the Peel Session from 98 didn't feature any new songs. Why can't New Order pick any of their songs to play from night to night? is phil limited by what he knows? have they lost the keyboard settings for most of their catalogue? do they use dat's in the live setting? I don't know why they couldn't turn to each other on stage and say "Right, Perfect Kiss! 2.3.4" they are musicians right?

There's an article on theSteinberg website(makers of Cubase) that goes into programming the synths for the tour and how the original JD tapes where flaking, apparently they had to be baked prior to being transfered to a digital format.Anyway check it out I think it partly explains them sticking to the set list, they just didn't pre-programme anymore songs.

The idea of the original Peel Sessions was to promote new material, not merely repeat the current catalogue.

The Steinberg interview was most interesting, especially when Roger Lyons mentioned the importing of a 40 track ADAT of the Liverpool gig. Maybe this might materialise as a finished product.
