I just yesterday bought my Get Ready. I know most of you have been talking about this for awhile, but to me and most other American fans, this is quite exciting. I could not stop listening to the album. I enjoyed every track. Especially Crystal, 60 Miles An Hour, Turn My Way, Vicious Streak (Best Song), Close Range, Someone Like You, and Run Wild. I can't believe some of the crap I've heard about Run Wild. It's one of my favorites. This is the best album I have ever bought.

Played the album 4 times last night, and it sounded pretty damn good. Least fave track: Turn My Way, mostly because I'm not much of a Pumpkins fan. Vicious Streak is great, and count me in as a fan of Run Wild. It's nice to hear things like the acoustic guitar in New Order. Lovely melody as well.

Jason and all....

Cannot argue with you about the album...Run Wild is a good song....What is it with everyone???

Also...this may seem way off, but some of their songs on the new album have a "Smiths" edge to them...Especially, how Barney does the vocals on "Close Range"

Now, after owning the album for a good 24 hours...I am sure that NewOrder is the best group that has ever existed.

Working with Johnny Marr may have lead Barney to explore his inner Morrissey. Or just let him appreciate the Smiths' work, either could be the case.

The final mix of Run Wild is worst than the advanced promo mix... I would have prefer THAT version than the original one.

Well, due to (c)opyright reasons, of course I won't put it online, but I might be able to put a 30 seconds clip sooner or later.

So you're NOT part of the Run Wild appreciation society, I take it.

Everyone's entitled to their opinion. I happen to love it, it ends the album on a somber, calm note after all the furor of the previous 9 tracks

What about Slow Jam?

Can't believe I'm entering this one so late... damn work always gets in the way.

Count the Huntsman in for the Running Wild appreciation society. And his good lady, who cannot stop humming it in the shower! and/or bath.

I would happily slaughter a thousand warlocks to grab a hold of the Nic The Blank promo issue of Legging-it Wilder... any chances Niccy baby you little tutti frutti expert!? :hat:

originally taped a promo to listen to when moved house on car stereo & run wild didnt fit on it, but when listen to it at home relaise that should have definitely included it. yet to listen to it with the inspiration behind it revealed.

I prefer "The Run Off Groove" actually - just right for all us low-tech suckers.

"Run Off Groove"? You say? That's what I said, didn't I??

No...that wasn't ME speaking......it was HIM....honest!! Blame HIM!! HE made me do it! HE made me say that!!

As a founder member of the "Run Wild Appreciation Society" I am finding it hard to beleive the amount of people coming out of the closet in support of this track...

For bleeding months Ive been going on about it, and now all of a sudden everyone loves it...

I may have reached the grand old age of 26, but i still havent got a fucking clue how this world works...

My simple explanation is that I've resisted the urge to buy the import version of the album as well as downloading MP3s of individual songs, instead waiting patiently until the damn thing was released here in the States. I've also tried to avoid reading or posting in the threads that were about the album. Of course, being a rather new member, that part wasn't terribly difficult.
