Barney producing behind the scenes as Be Music

the other "site" sezs there is going to be a compilation of Barney Sumners 80s behind-the-scenes production of other bands, something i was not all that aware of back in the 80s.

so what obscure tracks out there are gems of Barney's shy production genius? what tracks standout as a definite example of Barney's talent? any killer tacks? somebody has to be aware and have a real record collection out there, not just Depeche mode.

I see that the Ad Infinitum single, with the version of Telstar, is a BeMusic production, but the only info I ever found out was from the waterrat site, which said that this was rumoured to be NO. Anyone ever found out more on that 7"?

Well remembered, Green. According to Dennis Remmer's Factory website Ad Infinitum was Peter Hook and members of Stockholm Monsters, so in this case Be Music means only Hooky.

this collection seems really cool, from the period in which new order was very creative and taking chances...

just about everybody should buy this, unless you were cool enough to get the vinyl in the first place... a lot of people griped that Retro did not really show much respect for New Order history or the more obscure or rare new order stuff, the attitude basically was who gives a shit, its just a collection of tracks, like a friends mix tape... hell, they did not even bother to remaster Retro. so here is your chance to show that you want and will buy well packaged rarer new order related stuff... so buy it!
