I don't think any of us want to know about it ! A thread a few days ago was talking about figures from the past, and it was commented that Barney had gone on record talking about losing his virginity to "Shagger Sheila", who was believed to be the subject of the original versions of Face Up. Chris has now just confirmed her existence, that's all.

We don't actually care about any of their private lives - they are just that, private, and that is how they should remain.

I have access to all these snippets of information from Barneys youth which are probably of not much interest but I wouldn't divulge anything that would be seriously harmful to him or New Order in accordance with the mission statement of this site. Just this lunchtime, however, I was reminded of an occasion when we were all at Mick Jaggers house and someone put David Bowies Space Oddity on and Barney started to sing along. We all turned on him and told him to shut up because he was making such an awful noise! No change there then!

No, its actually quite true although the Mick Jagger we knew was more commonly called Mike Jagger and was a great friend of mine. He is next to me on the school photo. He moved to Leeds in 1970/71 and some time later we went to a gig at Leeds Poly to see Lindisfarne. Also there on the night were Renaissance who were second on but first on were some guys called Genesis who played to an audience of about 12!
