I bought a Joy Division single in Glasgow, does that count? Obviously, I haven't travelled this far just to buy a record but I was in the UK mainly because of New Order.

Bought the Best Of video in HMV in the Arndale Center in Manchester. In that neck of the woods for footballing reasons, but went into HMV specifically for that VHS, if that counts. Not sure of the distance in KMs but timewise:

Home to train: 45 mins Train to plane: 3 hours Plane to Manchester: 50 mins Taxi to hotel: 20 mins Hotel to shop: 20 mins

Frankfurt to Camden Market to buy CD-Singles of "TrueFaith '94", "Spooky", Electronic's "Feel Every Beat", a bootleg-video of "Reading '93 (plus MontreuxJazzFestival from MTV)" and a lot more...all before eBay...

Well, I bought the Brotherhood and Low-life Factory cassete boxes in San Francisco, along with the History In Cuttings books, but I was already down there on other business. Usually about an hour's drive to Portland for other stuff.

Similarly, I flew from London to Sydney to pick up the Australian tour EP! Should imagine I could fetch a whole six pounds or something for that on ebay now.

Winks aside, I don't think I could've. Reckon those shows actually pre-dated international internet sales. Moreover, it was originally meant to be a Phoenix Festival appearance, wasn't it?

As for you Old Blue, I can safely say I can't recall seeing any lab-coats there on the day, running around waving their arms in the air in zany fashion... Calling out things like: "Increase the amplitude of the isoteptronic-dysnoculation device immediately!!!"
