New to board and question about Republic

Hi. My name is Jaden and this is my first post on this board.

I have a question.

Today, I bought a copy of Republic for $20 (including tax). I've never seen a copy like this before. It's orange and it's called "Republic The Limited Run..". The jewel case is, sort of, puffy. Is this something rare? If so, how rare is it? Any idea how much this is worth? Okay. So that's 3 questions. :D

I tried looking on Ebay just to get some sort of an idea what it's worth and I found nothing. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Orange with blue print, or orange with silver print?

What exactly is the difference between the two, besides the color of prints? I have both but haven't noticed anything else.. Then again I remember hearing the blue print ones are supposedly rarer than the other?

BTW Jaden, these puffy 'digipak's do pop up on ebay every once in a while and most of them I've seen were sold around the price you paid, if that's any help.

I don't know the amount of Limited Run's that were produced, but I bought a silver printed copy and a blue printed copy when they were released. I've never seen another silver and have since gotten rid of the blue as it seems to be the more common of the two.

A sad fact of the "Limited Run" is that although it has a different product number than the standard Warner release (and an illustration of the rings falling into the fire on the disc surface), inspection of the bottom of the disc reveals the standard Warner release product number in the center ring.

Regarding the orange ones, as far as I know the silver print ones were free giveaways and the blue ones were sold in shops, which would suggest that the silver is the scarcer of the two. But don't quote me on any of that.

I just did! Sorry!

When I ordered mine back before the internet, at HMV, I got the silver one sent to me. I didnt have a choise, And didnt know there were 2 colors at the time. I paid about 30.00 and had it as soon as it came out.

I bought one for a dollar but it cost me $5 in postage "bargain"

At the end of the day (there's no food on our plate) it doesn't matter whether it is puce with green spots on the cover, it is still shite inside it !
