As some of you will know, today is the 24th anniversary of Joy Division's performance at Leeds Roots Club. Unfortunately the recording that exists is very quiet (may have been recorded outside the venue !), but I am trying to clean it up at the moment.
If I am successful in this mission, a CD copy will be made available - it's a decent performance with a couple of new songs (These Days and Atrocity Exhibition).

Aye, good luck in your quest. It's a decent enough performance, shame about the sound quality. Any improvement is appreciated though! Mental performance of SLC, as I seem to recall.

Indeed !! Thanks very much for that - has already made a huge difference to some recordings (which you'll get to hear very soon !)
So, Tim, how did it work out? Ready to take on that wretched "Band on the Wall" tape by now?
It still sounds like it was recorded in the car park across the road from the venue !
Leuven Lido 82 has turned out well though, far better than the original recording. Pity I've only got the first 8 songs really !
The Bennylux compilation has hit an inlay card production snag, but the music itself will be ready for tomorrow. I'll have to send the inlay cards through separately at a later date !

Wow, you've got a recording of Lido '82? I arrived three years late in Leuven to catch that gig, but ever since reading the short note in Mark Johnson's book (along the lines of a fast and furious set, after the troubles they'd had in Holland) I've been wanting to hear it!
