Finally recieved my Japanese edition of Getting things Ready today, having ordered it on the day of release because it has the extra track on it. What puzzles me is, why is it that our Eastern cousins get extra tracks when the rest of us get fuck all!! Republic had two extra tracks when it first came out in Japan, what's going on??? :smoking:

Japan always gets extra tracks because the albums are more expensive there.. so if they had the same tracklisting, it would mean imports would be cheaper than the domestic release.

At least that's what I've heard!

They also had a different Crystal single, a different Twisted Tenderness... and there is probably more!

What are the extra two tracks that were released in the Japanese export of Republic????? Are they just extra remixes???

They had a limited edition with the two Sabre remix of Regret, which were only available on the 12" vinyl.. so this is the only place you can find those mixes on CD.

Are you talking about the Weatherall mixes, Nicolas? Cos they were available in France as a promo CD when Republic came out. And you would get the promo CD when you bought Republic.

The mixes he's talking about are the Sabres 'slow n low' and 'fast n throb' remixes of Regret. They were extra tracks on the original Japanese release of Republic. :smoking:

we get extra tracks because there is no single release.

New Order rarely tour Japan. Fuji rock festival was the first gig in 16 years. Barney swore on stage that they would come back to Japan in another 16 years.

They hate us...
