Jools Holland Show Tonight

Trust Channel 4 to fucking ruin it for me though - I wanted to catch SOUTH PARK as well so what do they do - run half of it into Later With Jools Holland - sneaky bastards!!
Barney never changes does he? leaping about like a goon, pulling faces, ruining the best bits of each song!!! Still, worth stayin' up for tho, I guess.....
brilliant, watch the album sell another few thousand over the weekend....sometimes you have to take the people by the hand and say.......look......here it is here
Classic remark from Barney about Hooky's guts. I thought LWTUA was a bit more toned down than when they played it at Brixton. Shaking off those terrace anthem remarks?
I gotta say though that Mr S's gurnings and whoops are integral to the songs live. And I'm sure most of us love him for that.
Barney's little leg-kicking is a joy to behold. Like a child throwing a tantrum.
Just thinking "My, Sean Hughes has put on a lot of weight" - when he said the same thing about Hooky!
Check out the Gilbert sisters in the wing during Crystal.
Can just about make out Mr Johnny Giles from this group during a couple of songs - they don't like letting the fans near the band on this show do they? Much more important that the cast from 'Baby fathers' get the up-front seats!
And John Vine 'down the front' at Vancouver? Well, if he says soooo...
Absolutely brilliant. Just made my fridaynight after a hard days work. Image your VCR fucking up just five mins. before the show?Happened to me but thanks to me lovely sister it is taped for me. Thanks a lot sis and happy birthday tomorrow.
Wish it was nov. 16 already.

Jools rules (to a certain point)
I have to say i thought Barney's vocals were a bit ropey on LWTUA. Why didn't they just do a special "Later - with New Order" and they we wouldn't have to fast forward past 'Zero talent', 'Bollocks Manuva' and 'Grey haired guy with a mullet'. Oh yeah, and that atrocious 'BBBBBBryan Adams'.
Classic New Order: bum notes, missed cues, Barney STILL can't sing. God they're great. I liked the way Holland kept trying to get John Vine to talk about politics, but he just kept on about the Order. Great stuff!!
Best of all, though, was Stevie "Deadpan" Morris, who treted the entire thing with the contempt and disdain it (probably) deserved. Punk rock is alive and well and living in a farmhouse outside Macclesfield!!
Like Jarvo, I spotted the Order fans (or at least an "Area: One" T and a "Recycle" one) tucked away out of harm's way. Such dedication warms one's cockles, no? And Jarv is spot on: the terminally skinny Sean Hughes has developed a paunch lately. About time too. Nice to see he's a fan though - don't think he's ever been very funny, but he's got near-impeccable taste in music.

he was probably just being polite...seeing as he didn`t even know the lyrics to "true faith" when it was in the next line bit of that buzzcocks program the other week.
Tonight was the show with Paul Weller in Canada, any idea if that was just before New Order? if so, I'll be able to catch it next week.
'Grey haired guy with a mullet'. Oh yeah, and that atrocious 'BBBBBBryan Adams'.
In fact, unknown to you lot, they were planning to have MICHAEL BOLTON on instead...but he chickened out due to the
ongoing war in Afghanistan....so, guess what? They settled for silver-bogbrush Mr McDonald instead.
Wasn't Ryan Adams a scruffy little sod though.?
Did anyone know who he was??? Or even care??

I really can't believe you, Walshy, first you have the sheer audacity to nick my pen-name, THEN you start waffling on about mullets - it's as if you haven't got anything better to do with yourself except log on to this site and pilfer my musings for your own "comic" self-gratification. The sooner you go back to your crappy Ocean Colour Scene records the better...(yes, you heard - and I'll tell everyone else on this site the truth as well:
"LISTEN Y'ALL!! MY SO-CALLED "MATE" STUART WALSH - WHO IS A SCOUSER IN REAL LIFE! - IS A BIG OCEAN COLOUR SCENE ...AND CAST (!!!!) .....FAN!!!!.....WHAT AN OLD DAD-ROCK WORSHIPPING DUFFER!!! EVERYBODY, FEEL FREE TO RIDICULE THE BASTARD OFF OUR MESSAGE BOARD....")
Now, do me a great favour....AND DO ONE!!!

Hmmm, Jim, not too sure if that will happen.....I'm not holding my breath for "Get Ready" to go charging back into the Top 100. As for the release of "60 mph" being postponed now for another THREE weeks....it seems that all I told you about London Records is all too true...they really are a bunch of heartless clueless wankers hellbent on DELIBERATELY FUCKING UP NEW ORDER'S CHANCES OF SELLING SOME FUCKIN' RECORDS!!!
Honestly, you'd think that the least they could do was to bring it out on schedule. I mean, the Later With Jools Holland appearance would have been a nice way of plugging the single before it was available for the public to get hold of the following week - in that way, considering how short people's memories are nowadays, enough pre-sales momentum from TV exposure would be gained to secure a respectable first week sales. But now it's been put back three weeks.....who the fuck is going to remember (to go out and buy) it then? BOLLOCKS TO LONDON RECORDS.....THEY'VE DONE IT AGAIN........DOUBLE FUCK THE LOT OF 'EM!!
Personnally, I had the impression Stephen wasn't really there. I mean, he looked really, I don't know, sad???
Guess his thoughts were back home...
