I am trying to recall a concert I saw in 1986 or early 1987 in Buffalo, NY. The show was at the Buffalo Auditorium. I found this website, and the only Buffalo shows I see listed in the tours section was at Darrien Lake. Seems like it would have been the Brotherhood tour. Anybody have information on it? In particular, I am trying to remember who opened for them... The 80's were a bit on the fun side, and the memory isn't always that great.

4/9/87 was the Darien Lakes Amphitheatre. Gene Loves Jezebel opened, and New Order supported Echo and the Bunnymen. Barney later appeared on stage with the Bunnymen for their encore. Excellent gig, great recording (though the first half of Perfect Kiss is missing).

Don't know of any 1986 shows !

It was definitely an indoor show, not Darrien. Based on who I went with, and the fact that I had to road trip to get there, it had to be either fall of '86, or spring of '87. New Order was the headliner. It was some now-obscure new wave band that opened. I actually have a neighbor who was at the show also, but neither of us can remember the opening band.

Possibly 1 or 3 December 86 ? They were in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia either side of those dates, having done a week in Canada prior to that. Can't see them slotting a Buffalo show in before that really, given where they were playing. I maybe wrong though. There's almost no way we'll ever know, as they never seemed to produce an accurate tour schedule, and being so far before the advent of the internet.....

There's defo gaps in the schedule on this site. They played some venue in Montreal as part of the 86 tour - the NME reviewed it - but there's no mention here.

It seems that the only dates we know are the ones where recordings have surfaced....
