Long time nay patter! Don't know if this is old news to you lot already, but New Order and Arthur Baker are doing their Return to New York DJ-ing thang at Sankeys here in Manchester on Sep 13th.

Not been around these parts for a while, coz I have a new job and unlike my previous shitty one I actually want to keep it, so try and be a good girl and keep my time faffing about on t'internet to a minimum!

Couldn't contain the excitement of The Order making an appearance at Sankeys though, so had to share it with you all! Then I realised that I won't be able to make it coz I'll be in the Toon for a big family do. Bloody typical - I spend every other Saturday night at Sankeys and the one time I can't make it, New Order decide to make an appearance....

I'll be there, and no mistaking!

Yer fellow errant Geordie Hugo momentarily reportin' fer duty back here an' all.... good ta hear ye're keepin' well an' that like, as fer me, well I've been real busy sortin' family duties out and gettin' a job transfer readied fer when we move over ta Ireland in the coming few months. As a result of that, I've had very little time to post owt on any message boards lately, hence the tumbleweeds in my neck o' the woods. Anyway we've had a well chilled summer an' saw in our dear little bairn Thom's first birthday last week - he's grown lots in the past year - walkin' an' taakin' now.... aye, he's lippy awreet, but we adore him loads

Hope ye're keepin' clivvor an' yer new job goes well.....I'm hopin' to be out of my banking job soon an' linking up with a new managerial post with a large furniture warehouse chain, which also has a branch in Dublin - thus allowing a door open for a geographical transfer when our move over to Ireland happens - I'm keepin' me fingers crossed anyway.

Okay, time to skedaddle, Amy needs tuckin' in ta bed an' it's my turn to provide her with the pre-sleep entertainment cos Charley wants to watch the telly..... laters petal!

Does anyone know when this starts? Is it easy to get to Sankey's from the train station?

I will be visiting from New York and I'm really looking forward to seeing one of my favourite bands...even if they are just doing a dj set (vs. performing!)!

Dead easy on foot from the train station or get a cab for about £3. Sankeys opens at 10 until 4am.

does anyone know if Bernard has been confirmed yet?? There are 2 live bands on as well - Fannypack(!) and Loose Cannons.

i'm surprised new order have got the saturday night with sankeys being an out-and-out dance club. i hope they've swotted up on the dj manual!!

i'll be joining those of u that are goin... didnt quite manage to blagg the full day off work, but my lovely boss! is allowing me to leave a few hours early so i can get over and attempt to make myself look half decent...

Lookin forward to a quality night out, and bein back "home" ( better have that lounge room finished bear!)

I got this mail too...that Peaches bird looks well scary - her performance should be 'interesting'...

*sigh* Dilemmas, dilemmas...still can't decide what to do - head back North for family duties, or rub shoulders with Barney and Hooky in my favourite club ever! Might have to check out my financial situation, and use that to aid my final decision...

it was good but the order didnt appear. arthur baker told me he couldn't get hold of hooky so he didnt know what was happening.

2 bands on, loose cannons who were absolutely abysmal, and then peaches which i quite enjoyed.

couple of new order tunes played - BM and the arthur baker mix of confusion.

i was a bit dissapointed that they didnt make it but then i have heard that they can't dj for toffee so maybe they might have embarrased themselves a bit? it wasn't your typical new order crowd, most were there for peaches and sankeys regulars.
