i stayed up very late listening to the NewOrder Radio 2 Documentary and possible woke the neighbors when Neil Tennant explains that the Lyrics to GAWI were written from the perspective of Morrissey.
i've been walking in the rain just to get wet on purpose i've been forcing myself not to forget, just to feel worse i've been getting away with it all my life

i really enjoyed both parts. it got lukewarm reviews by some on the board but i thought it was great.

Neil Tennant quote from Pet Shop Boys Behaviour reissue booklet regarding the song 'Miserablism' :
"I think I wrote this at the beginning of 1990, during the shoegazing period, when Morrissey was huge as a solo artist. It's another song sort of written from the point of view of being Morrissey- the first song like that being 'Getting Away With It', the Electronic single, which I wrote most of the words of. 'Getting Away With It' is looking at Morrissey's persona of being miserable and all the rest of it, and saying that he's been getting away with it for years. It's meant to be humorous."

Pretty good documentaries, but other than one or two bits of pieces, there was nothing that we didnae all know anyway. Glad to see that Morley's favourite bit about interviews is when the band talk about the fuck up with the Hac, and Steve having to pay in on the opening night - that always cracks me up an all
Also remember hearing Tennant talk about BM, and he uses Robs immortal lines from an APB feature from 88....
