Has anybody heard if New Order is going to play any concerts in the USA or better yet near Michigan. If you know yes or no please e-mail me at draven2011@aol.com.

Give me one good reason why anyone should e-mail you to tell you what you can find out yourself in ten seconds by looking at the site !

No they are not coming to Septic land. Possibly never again. No way will they ever do Michigan area again now, either :evil4:

I think Hooky took his family on holiday to Florida in June, and the Morrises might be in New York for Xmas to do some shopping.

Barney prefers the Caribbean.

Are there any sights for the band to see in Michigan?

Something tells me they're not...unless they collaborate with Jay-Z and have a hit, then maybe they'd play the MTV TRL-set (hey, it could happen!)

Actually I think a New Order remix of 50 Cent would be better :D

they could easily pack audiences in in America if they just played slightly smaller venues. i mean, even morrissey comes to seattle every other year and he sells out large theatres.

They should come to LA and play in the House of Blues and just hit up the clubs in socal

I don't think we will ever see the order do a large tour of the states again...

at least not if Barney has anything to do with it...I mean, you see how sporadic the dates were for what they did in Europe while "supporting" Get Ready...and after hearing Barney talk on 3 16...well, he's only doing what he wants...and I just don't get the feeling he fancies flying over here, playing gigs in amphitheatres for mainly apathetic fans...

maybe if we Americans could learn to be as rabid as the English...

fooking hell, at Finsbury they had 20,000 (or more) jumping up and down like mad men (and women)...at Area one, there were maybe 50 people dancing like they were at a club, while everyone else sat in their seats...I so should have charged to the front...so I could have been tossed!

small gigs would be dandy...but you think there's any money to be made doing those here in the states?

pet shop cleaned up doing 'small' gigs in concert halls that seat a couple thousand for the "Release" Tour. in fact, they LOST loads of cash supporting "Nightlife" because they were playing in giant ampitheaters. tickets were more expensive for the small show, but that wasn't a problem.

I heard a rumour that The Other Two will be doing some club dates in Michigan soon - as part of their second honeymoon

Sorry for my lack of knowledge about English geography, but where is Didsbury? And since Steven won't go to Stockport, who will be drumming, Gillian? And if the Fall will be there, can we assume that Timbo will be joining us in Salford?

Prolly cuz there isn't a stadium small enough to hold all of us at one time...

Hi Paul, I am happy that you've finally decided to come to terms with the truth and admit that you are the most talented English player since Best.

Didsbury is a leafy area of Manchester, one of the most expensice in the whole of the UK, propertywise, favoured by artsy types and young profesional couples who can afford the mortgages there.

And yes, Timbo shall be at Salford, I can confirm that his new job is as second guitar for the Fall, hence his comments about being a job where he had to travel extensively through the UK and spend four nights a week away from home.

No, newOrder are to old to go anywhere, they need help finishing the next album (if they're actually doing it) but you never know

I think they need to come play at Inland Invasion. That would really complete the show, but somehow I doubt it.

Is this some kind of lewd American tradition? Is this what Jim Morrison was after when he got arrested? :nono:
