whats the demographic of people been like at all the gigs you guys have been too, because im thinking me and my mates are going to look very out of place when they come to Aus and do some gigs outside the Big Day Out.

Michelin, here is the Huntsman's very quick amateur analysis demographic based on living evidence at the Apollo Creed gig.
70% 30 somethings with either a no. 4 shaved hair style or equivalent thinning on top number. Mostly hardcore Order fans. Dissappointing lack of 'Barney-esque' hair styles circa the 80's and early nineties crowd.
10% Bitches, the majority of which looked like they were accompanying their 30 something boyfriends or husbands or husbands to be. Typical low turnout of ladies I'm afraid.
10% Students with a modicum of quality.
5% Made up of a tiny showing of 50+ gig veterans who looked like they'd witnessed almost every gig since 1959 - Easily spotted through their flamboyant use of fashion... think Bryan Ferry after the party.
5% Confused people who had wandered in for a night out... knee-jerk fettlers who had for some reason elected to go to see a band instead of a nightclub.
Hopefully this should set the potential scene down under.
Don't forget about the 0.001% who are there to see 'Circus Girls' !!

Think Huntsman summed it up perfectly, for Blighty crowds at any rate. I've seen New Order abroad a few times and foreign audiences seem very 'studious' in comparison to the UK. Especially in the US. And it doesn't really go off as much. If at all. Think we're the only ones who do the whole laddy thing properly because NO are, after all, ordinary British lads at heart and attract a like-minded crowd. I have a horrible suspicion that somewhere as far afield as Oz may draw out a lot of 80's revivalists who'd be just as happy at seeing the Order as they would T'Pau or Heaven 17 or Paul Young.
I have, however, seen Kraftwerk over here a few times and they seem to attract a broad X-section of the populous: Football heads, musos, klubbheads, the curious, etc. But with none of the real 'hardcore' which New Order attract (apart from a mob of German lads at Tribal Gathering a few years back, all in cycling gear - but that's another story!). I should imagine, generally, New Order's audience abroad mirrors Kraftwerk's over here quite well.
Michelin I took the liberty of reading your prolific files and good golly you are only of tender ages. You must be a very, very cool cucumber. A 16 year old OrderFan is a deadly weapon... able to wipe out nations with a single mention of The Village or Dreaming about the Attacks in a gathering of youngsters all chit-chatting about the qualities or lack thereoff of the likes of Twisted Biscuits, Marilyn Moonshine and/or Slipwheel.
Good on ya... spread your faith and good fortune with any kids who may frequent the upside down gigs.
Barney and crew would be proud to learn there's still life in the old dog yet.
Don't reckon I saw any 16 year olds at Brixton. I reckon a fair percentage of the crowd were early 20's though..myself included (well mid-twenties at any rate).

Briggsy,Am I right that you attended the same Thursday Brixton gig as I did? where you in the Beehive Prior to it?if so till what time?I heard mention of a meeting of onliners in there.I just about made it to Brixton in time for 3 pints of Fosters in there,I was sat to the left of the bar as you stand at it.
You forgot the two other de rigeur elements of the Order 'ardcore: the proud paunch and the wide-eyed "thousand pints of Stella" stare.

What I'm wondering is where you all there the same time I was? I arrived about 8.40 pm left 9.05pm arrived at concert as 'good vibrations' started.
We were all mobbed up at the far end, from just past the bar to the toilets. Lots of very big/loud blokes.
Yeah it was a bit of a gathering. As Jarvo says I was in the Beehive stuck in a corner with my Missus. It was good to meet Jarv, Liv, Hooky Monster etc. Think I stuck my sweaty head in one of Jarv's photo's- would be quite cool to see 'em on the site actually...
I'd cut my head off and throw it back at the band if I ever found out New Order were developing a teeny following. Thankfully, their collective mid-riffs and chins aplenty would see to that never ever becoming a reality.
Well...due to excessive alcohol consumption...I don't remember a whole lot about my Brixton experience...what a waste of money eh??? But when they were in Mountain View back in July, there were quite a few of the teen crowd dancing their cute little arses off for the order...couldn't swear that they were there for the order...but seeing them bob and kneel...or was that kneel and bob...for Hooky and the lads made this 30 something geezer feel quite old...

Funny you should say that Martin, My mate Annie has developed a rather unhealthy crush on Hooky at the moment, and she is only 17..... wonders never cease...
