I'm a lazy arse, so I will simply quote the classic Joy Division File.

"Komakino" may have been named in memory of the venue (Kant Kino) that Joy Division played at, January 21 1980, in Berlin. Or it may come from a dance by the same name used by Japanese mediums to hypnotise their audience and cause them to see visions.
