A mate of mine who worked on the security on the recent New Order UK tour reckons there is a rumour going around that New Order may do the England 2002 World Cup song. If not perhaps the could do the F.A Cup winning song for the might Crewe Alexandra
Singing For England Again?

I think Sheff Weds are trying to nick our manager..Billy Dearden. If you are youre welcome to him. He's clueless.
Stafford is quite a decent little town with some good pubs, compared to Crewe anywhere seems good. All Crewe has got is a top football team and a direct rail link to Manchester
Is crewe's ground still a dump? I went there about 5 years ago (Crewe 2 Mansfield 0 in the FA Cup I think) and it was unbelievably bad. It also took me about 30mins to find any sort of shop selling any food.
It's sad to think that 10 years ago Sheff Wed were one of the biggest clubs in the country. Now it looks like the only thing we've got is the biggest ground in the first division.... soon to be second division!
I went to the crewe ground last year. It has one good stand the rest is kinda small. I couldn't get any food either!
10,000 all seater stadium mate, a bit better than Field Mill and probably more modern than Hillsborough. As for not getting any food there's loads of pubs and take-aways and reastaruants around the corner from the ground, one good thing about Crewe is that you will never starve.
40,000 all seater with undersoil heating, several bars and restaurants and 75% of the ground is less than 10 years old.
There are a lot of pubs near the crewe ground, i do remember that. and you beat us 1 - 0... booooooooo!

Sorry Lee, I don't want to go on coz Mansfield are crap and any footy related arguments I'll lose on..but this year they've just moved into a 10,500 all seater new modernised stadium. Very nice it is too!
the Old 'Mill was shocking though
Fair enough, good luck to Mansfield and Wednesday but i think this conversation is going off course a bit. If New Order did a World Cup song who would replace John Barnes. I reckon it should be the man himself, Sven!
Just for the record, even when discussions have nothing to do with New Order, we do not lock them if many people are involved in the discussion.
If it happens to be some sort of private discussion between two persons, then most likely, the thread will be locked.
Same thing when a thread goes on forever and ever on a topic that has no relations with New Order. But we're not very "stiff" about that, really.
Seb.
I doubt New Order will 'do' the England World Cup song 2002.
Reason being that Sven Gordon Eriksson is Swedish, so in keeping with all things carrot and swedish, I reckon Abba are more likely to sing the World Cup song next year.....
I have this on good authority, but the damn blighters wouldn't tell me the name of the forthcoming track.... any ideas?? ![]()

How about YOU singing the song then Maria ![]()
How come you've got two identical threads but with different replies going on here??
Is this an insidious attempt to take over the whole message board or something??? ![]()
