Mine would be Sub Sub's "This Time I'm Not Wrong" because I love Barney's vocal and the suitably rocking backing provided by soon-to-be Doves. Having said that Beat Club's "Security" and ACR's "Won't stop loving you" definitely stand out as quality early-90s dance records for me with the 12" mix of WSLY sounding like a stripped back and hypnotic drum machine test; nice one Barney! ![]()
The Chemical's "Out Of Control" isnae bad either and probably Barney's most famous collaboration outside of New Order/Electronic. A timely reminder (before Get Ready) of how great New Order could be even though it wasn't a New Order record! On the other hand I don't really care for his bizarre jam with Primal Scream
too close to Rock The Shack territory for me.
It'll be interesting to see what everyone thinks of Barney's various collaborations outside of his two main bands :)
