I remember having a white label 7 inch that got withdrawn as barney was not happy with the drum sound.
the single may still be in my loft.is it worth hunting out or did this surface else where eventually??

Spent a fortune on these at the time.Original 7 inch PROMO,REMIX or new version on 7 inch.12 inch and varios others.Worth getting!
It hasn't appeared anywhere else apart from the withdrawn 7", which I still haven't got a copy of...!

The "unapproved mix" (as it became known) was basically just a straight edit of the album version wasn't it? It kept the original structure of the song but chopped out a few sections in order to reduce it to the 3-4 minute mark. Is this definitely only available on the whitelabel 7"? I've seen the mix as being listed (in a discography) on the regular 7" too, will have to stick it on the turntable later!
The "approved mix" which made the CD singles was more like a completely rearranged song with the mid-section break at the start. Doubt the unapproved mix was shelved because of a drum sound as the drums are identical on both mixes! The approved one had a bit more thought put into it whereas the unapproved was just a hack job methinks.
If you can make an MP3 from your whitelabel and post it here it'd be interesting to hear cheers. I have an MP3 of the supposed "unapproved mix" but it would be good to confirm it.
