For what it is worth, here it is - a still from the FORBIDDEN CITY promo no less. Not bad looking but again, like the later singles, totally guitar-oriented and quite removed from the initial minimalist electro cool of the earlier artwork which marked the first phase of the group. The only thing linking those early years and the duo's original white-label intentions is the fact they remain anonymous in this, so it does kind of come full circle I suppose.
Also, play.com announces there will be a limited edition with a bonus dvd - yeah!

Why does this smell like a rush job? Surely everyone would have been much happier with a more complete release (i.e. BSides and rarities on board). Can't see the point of a DVD, not unless Shug got paid to do it...
...although... some of the DVD footage may be crisper... Looks like I will buy it then...

Thanks for posting. I think the sleeve looks great and I'll definitely get the cd/dvd edition.
I like the sleeve.:) It't not as good as the first Electronic album sleeve, but I think it's better than Rasputin on the cover.

similar blue light that featured with the Monaco monorail sleeve. They'd look nice side by side.
BSides and rarities would be great.
The pics ok, but I can't believe they've put "The Best Of Electronic" on the sleeve - surely just having 'Get The Message' would be more appropriate...

According to Saville's web site he was involved with the Getting Away With It and Raise The Pressure sleeves only. I'm surprised he was involved with RTP as I can't remember seeing his name on the sleeve but definitely knew he'd done their debut single.
Barney in collaboration with various other design teams (Second Nature, For You, Vivid etc) handled pretty much all of the other Electronic artwork. "Fluid" was one of the teams if I remember right.
If anything, Saville produced more sleeves for Monaco than Electronic.

Yeah,i forgot about Gettig Away With It. I sometimes forgot it was even a single! Which is weird cos its the best Electronic sleeve for me-although i didn`t like the blue/green version.
