Pride of place in my office at work is a poster I nabbed from a billboard in Stalybridge when I was a nipper. It's advertising "Hooky's birthday bash" at The Witchwood in Ashton-under-Lyne in April 1991 (or was 1992?) and promotes the Gun World Porn EP ("out now!").

Unfortunetly my high jinx took place after the gig, which I missed. So did anybody attend the bash and if so was Hooky and Revenge any good?

I shall take a picture of the aforementioned poster tommorrow and post it on this thread...

I remember this and i think i remember the posters. Unfortunately i didnt go, would've been a good night too. i went to see Revenge at the International in Longsight and it was great. Much prefer smaller venues.

It was 92. I was there with my then girlfriend (now my wifey)and i think we where the only two Londoners there. We Travelled up even tho it was sold out, on the off chance we could blag a ticket. Met up with Alex (big clive)who only charged me face value for the tickets. What i didn't tell him till after was that i'd got out £300 for some serious blagging!!!

Saw a bit of the sound check Hooky was playing the bass line to the Age of consent, and i think a very young Jack was there. Great gig and also played Ceremony,Sunrise, Broken Promise and Dreams Never End.

We had a few beers with the band upstairs in the promoters(Darren) flat where me and the missus kipped on the floor. I always loved (and still do) Revenge they were fooking superb.

Here's some piccys i took that night...
