mine has 15 songs.

Well, I've got both the UK (with DVD - from play.com) and the US versions...

Neither has the "remixes, alternate mixes and rarities" that the MTV article states...

So, I'd wager some money that the reporter didn't know what they were going on about! :p

I know this has probably been asked, but other than the DVD, are the audio portion of both the US and UK versions the same (15 tracks)?

all such a shame really, though I'm enjoying watching the vids as I sit here, can any tell me why there is no: Free Will, Lucky Bag, Tighten up (edit), Until the end of the World.

In fact if anyone can explain the rationale behind this collection of songs in this order I'd appreciate it.

Just makes me all the more appreciative of Shug's DVDs.

I betcha a rarities "bonus" CD was planned as part of the "Limited Edition" release but in the end they opted for the DVD with a handful of single promos.

Would've been nice to have tidied up some of the obscure remixes (Second Nature US CDr) and perhaps a few alternate versions or demos but there you go.

I agree would have been nice to have had the remixes (in particular Getting Away With It, Disappointed etc.) and perhaps the Jools Holland performances. Electronic were pretty good IMO and a good outlet for Bernard Sumner - to do something different from New Order and Johnny Marr - to explore new forms of music beyond the staid indie of The Smiths. it's because of Shug's dvds that I still haven't got round to buying this official release yet. I will if I have time to hit the shops in Newcastle next week. Haven't got a decent record shop within about a 100 miles from here :(

In the interview with Johnny Marr you can read that at first Bernard had chosen 13 songs, but Johnny Marr did not agree and wanted Second Nature and Prodigal Son also on it. And he won, he says.
