Well......
Normally for any NO/JD release I would normally get it from a shop on the day rather than the net. The only store I had a choice on was the local Woolies, in the Chemical centre of the North West of England (Widnes - I work there.....)
And the didn't have it.
So well done.......
HMV want £18.99 for the CD/DVD. At least Dick Turpin wore a mask,the robbing bastards! Its not as if you can warrant buying the standard release,cos you already have the tracks. Its CD/DVD or nothing. Probably 22.
I voted 21-30. Don't think there's that many people into Electronic.
I bet bloody Shakira or Shane X Factor makes the top 10 though 
It's going to chart abysmally, if at all.
When I went to buy my copy on Monday lunchtime I checked out three seperate record shops (the Scots in me, looking for the cheapest! 
) but none of them had The Best Of featured in their "New Relases" or "New Compilations" section, typically the first thing punters see.
In HMV/Virgin I had to march myself over to the E section in Rock & Pop and only after I'd flicked past five copies of eponymous album there was a single copy of the non-Limited version wedged at the back priced £12. Virgin were the only ones stocking the Limited CD+DVD edition but they were asking a pretty steep £18 for it 
It's definitely not competitively priced for a new release
Fopp was the cheapest at a tenner for the CD only edition but again, you have to dig right into the E section as it's not on display anywhere.
It's going to fucking bomb and that's putting it mildly.
Not convinced the sound on the disc is remastered either, the eponymous album reissue from 1994 (grey cover) sounds light years ahead of it in terms of audio 
Considering the shambolic job that's been done on it, it deserves not to chart... I'm waiting till I get paid next to even think about getting it, that's how essential it is for someone who has the albums, a few singles and isn't hugely interested in videos...

Wasn't Rhino supposed to release it yesterday in the U.S.? I looked for it at Virgin and Tower Records in NYC and didn't see it. I'm waiting for the import with the DVD anyway but I'm curious if anybody saw the U.S. release.

Managed to bag a free promo poster with it 
Can't see it charting anywhere - TURN had more promotion than Get The Message and it didn't even get released.
I ordered it on Amazon.UK a few months ago and it shipped out on Mon. Went looking for the US version at Borders and Best Buy yesterday but neither store had it
ordered mine from CD wow a couple of weeks back for 10.99, which is pretty much their standard price for double cds, but it hasn't arrived. Apparently "Supply difficulties". Has everyone got there's?
For the five or six Electronic fans in New England, Newbury Comics has the Rhino version and on sale for $12.99. Like I said in another post, I'm excited about this release because I only ever had the eponymous album on cassette (and it is VERY worn at this point!). Like another said, Electronic really filled the vast void we had in the 90s between New Order releases.
Complete waste of fucking time. This album costs as much as four beers here in Italy. I'll have the four beers then.

It won't - the only people who'll know about it are people who visit this site, and most people who visit this site want to buy an album with some unreleased/mixes/live stuff on it (a la "One True Passion v 2.0")...
Apart from a fairly brutal edit of "Imitation Of Life", the only real reason for buying this is for the videos, and they even left some of the promos off it...
A wasted opportunity...

I received my copy (US Warners/Rhino - with free poster! 
) through the post (I'm in the UK) on Wednesday, so it's definitely out... :)

I made a complete dick of myself asking for the DVD version in HMV earlier today and ended up forking out almost £12 for the standard album CD version. The assistant liked my Hot Chip purchase however...

...And having now listened to it more than "Get the Message..." over the last 24 hours, so do I!
I managed to track down a copy in Sydney, but it is the US release, so I'll have to go back and see if I can't get the UK version.
As it hasn't officially been released here, I'd say it will chart 0.
It won't chart. It's not visible on the racks, and not for sale in the supermarkets. And it's not cheap.
Then again, a rep from EMI did describe Electronic as a 'vanity signing' because then they could claim members of NO, JD, The Smiths, Kraftwerk and The The were signed to the label : they didn't sell much even when they were together. And by 'together' I mean "not playing a single live date anywhere in the world for 80% of their career"
Couldn't find it in the music store yesterday.Doubt if i'd have bought it anyway .Just wanted to check out the cover and stuff.Certainly wouldn't pay £18 for the extra DVD edition.Spinadisc would probably have stocked it but they closed the store here recently.Ah well , i'll pick up the CD in a second hand shop sometime in the future for £4
Noticed it quite high in the Amazon music sales rank for a wee while there, but as for the charts, no idea. I got mine cd+dvd from amazon for under £15 incl p+p no bad eh. HMV here had the cd only the tossers, what's going on!
Now i want more more more....

Yes, it's definitely out. I've now seen a few copies out but they are not easy to find. Luckily I found one copy of the limited ed UK version with the dvd. Although I pretty much had everything on the CD it's nice to have. It's a great collection of songs!

Not much imagination has gone in to this has it? However I have been listening to it though and it's not too bad. I would have binned All That I Need for a starter and put on Free Will, Reality & Tighten Up maybe. I'm glad TT made it which should have been a single IMO.
The DVD is a bit of a let down. Why they chose the version of GAWI and not the other version is beyond me and as someone mentioned £18 which I paid for in HMV is way over the top.
The plus side of things is that I've re-discovered their music again. Until Blackpool that is. :)
I'd forgotten how good Forbidden City is and Get The Message. Two absolute belters.

With the advent of the iPod and other mp3 players, not suprised it can't be found in the stores. No reason for me to buy it, for if I wanted to listen to the line up on the cd all I have to do is rearrange the song order. Only fans of NO and the Smiths are going to care.....and they already have all their other discs. Best of is a waste of plastic if you ask me.
