Ok, this sounds more like an Electronic song. Does Johnny Marr play guitar on this at all? And what kind of a collab was it? Like written by Sub Sub and Barney just sang (and possibly Marr on guitar? sounds like it..)

Sorry for all the questions. Its hard to find some of info on these collab things.

No Marr anywhere near it. Written by Sub Sub (you may know them better as Doves these days), with bernard Sumner on guest vocals. Sub Sub used guest vocalists a lot - Melanie Williams on "Ain't No Love (Ain't No Use)", and Tricky on "Smoking Beagles".

To answer your question, I believe even though Marr didn't actually play on the single he is thanked on the sleeve for helping the pre-Doves out with the loan of a guitar and some harmonicas. If it's not on the sleeve then I definitely do recall Doves mentioning it in an interview.

It's not so surprising really as Jimi Goodwin was the session bassist with Electronic from 1996-99.

Was suprised they reworked it for Catch The Sun though. Which isn't as good.
