I just stumbled apon this track that appears on the UK versions of Dissapointed single. I have the US maxi single so its not there, is it similiar to Idiot Country or extended version or is it completely different?

Still retains the vocals slightly, but has more of an early 90's dance tune rhythm to it. Recommended.
Where has the art of mixing of songs like this gone? There used to be more emphasis on this back in the early 90's and before. You'd get all these different versions, mixes and within much of the padding, you would get hidden gems. I think other artists who remixed these songs also, really put effort into it, trying to do something creative with the track. Now, like everything else, it's a total marketing exercise, of the ones they do, and they just throw them out ten a penny and there is nothing to find within.
This one is worth picking up, although you can't beat the original!
Completely different. The album version has an emphasis on guitars, whereas IC2 brings out that early 90s dance feel, which sounds a little dated now.
Around this time I used to love the idea that, in essence, Electronic/NO released two different versions of songs; ie, the chart single and the disco version. Manc's Key 1-0-shite FM played the Fire Island mix of Regret to death in the run up to its release and when it was released began playing the original version. It came as a pleaseant bleeding shock!
Similarly, Ruined in a Day received similar treatment.
However, it seemed some of the later remixes got a little ropey, culminating in Blue Monday 95. Completely fookin' pointless shite, man!
