Right, I'm probably being really stupid, but I've just had this from Tom Hingley (Inspiral Carpets) via email embedded in a list of his tour dates:

28.10.2007 OXJAM GIG MANCHESTER RITZ TOM HINGLEY AND THE LOVERS WITH MONOCO TERRY HALL

Is "Monoco" actually Monaco? Or is there another band with the same name (albeit spelt differently!)?

Okey dokey, if this is confirmed, then I'll grab some tickets (which don't seem to be on sale yet)...

It's a good cause, anyway, and it'll be a laff... Also, I can spend the night in Manc, and then travel into Telford on the Monday (and claim back the fare)! :evil4:

Unbelievable. Why hasn't Hooky been talking about this on his blog instead of the usual crap?

It's confirmed - mentioned via Billboard today... So, when do tickets go on sale, and is Jack joining them again?

And it's confirmed to me by David Potts and his manager.

Shouldnt this be moved to the Ceremony forum where more people will see it?

I'll be going. All day in The LAss O Gowrie then stumble to the gig.

EDIT: Actually, if I recall, when New Order did the MEN, we met in a pub near The Ritz (Joshuas). Therefore, does logic dicate that the pre match for this takes place near the MEN, despite being on the other side of the city centre? :confused2:

Probably, but why let logic get in the way of things like ale? Just sort us a boozer Liam and we'll do the rest  :viking:
