The design is overall very cool, though at 800 x 600 it can be a bit confusing:
- I don't get the blue Hooky background I can see with higher resoloutions.
- The logo is better with "order" in a different colour.
- The random image: wonderful! But a bit too wide. It just moves the site in the lower half of the screen! What about placing a cell with the whole menu on the left (say 20%) and then leaving the other cell for the picture? That way the site is still user friendly and the random image is mantained.
- Yes we have to scroll a lot on lower resolutions. Is it possible to set proportional widths, rather than absolute values? That way the screen could contain the width at any resolution...
- Blue bar and darker grey menu: very good! This makes these areas more evident.
- Past updates menu: here there's a little problem because the items are not separated enough. You could put bullets or alternate the colours of each item.
- I love the Saville colour code at the heigth of the menu with black background.
- The forum main page is alright, I'd just change the background colour of the personal box with avatar and stats. Also the Mamber Centre column is very useful in the main page, but I hope it won't be repeated on each page of the forum because the pages with the messages would look a bit cluttered...
Some things to be revised, but congratulations for the hard work and the wonderful results.
Looking good - not too flashy/in your face, but enough of a difference to make it stand out.

THE MORE I LOG ON THE MORE I LIKE IT. the random pic generator is tremendous and really sets the site apart from a lot of other fan sites of any band neveer mind just new order. if i must have a tiny quible please make it easier to upload our avatar pics? ie not from a url just from our pcs. ive tried n tried but to no avail :(

There use to be an option for you guys to upload your avatar to NOOL's server, but because of the heavy traffic all around, that was one of the features that was taken off. We are on a dedicated server now, so let see what nic has to say about that.

Nick says eventually I'll allow picture upload, and Salvation members will be able to attach a file to a message... ;)
Eventually... I need the time to do it, I'm doing 55/60h weeks right now at work and might be like that until September, so it's hard to get time...

You are seriously encouraged to do so... just either send me the picture (if possible in the same size) with a text legend I can add over it, or use the same font as I used over it... up to you.

Ok, maybe you'll notice that the thread list is now uploaded...
Don't hesitate to comment, I already think there should be a separator for the "recent headlines" because they all look too grouped together..

Not feeling the new look to the forums. I haven't sifted through all the feedback posts, but I can't seem to get to the previous page containing older threads. All I see is the first page.

The thread list page looks too crowded, with the left-hand side bar taking space away from the actual thread list.

However, WenOrder *IS* monitoring your comments... I wasn't too sure last night that I liked it when I finished doing it, seems to be missing something, but it's looking nice though.

Yes, Nic, after I made my comment I realized that more width on the actual list wouldn't make it shorter.
Instead of discerning between new and old posts in the forums by just using back and grey background of the icons, could some more obvious-to-the-eyes-color be used?
