In my mind the Strokes are deeply related with Saturdays goin out and drinkin loads of beer... Thats something good for me, i dream about it when im at work and stress is threatening me to kill me . So here i am, its Saturday night, im ready to go out, already had my first beer, and listening to their new album. Im just curious, what u guys think of that?

First of all, my humble apologies for the error in the poll i placed with the two blank answers  . I guess the beer did its job sooner than i thought  . As for how the new album sounds, its very much a follow up to their first, i could say its in a very slughtly lower tempo. I only heard to twice so far, so i cant be absoluetly sure, but im sure for one thing though: If u didnt like "is this it" dont bother, if ure a fan already, go and get it ;) .

I despise the Strokes, I think they're the most overrated band around at the minute. Hopefully they'll be gone in a couple of years. *crosses fingers*

Think I'll wait til next year to buy the thing, when the record company adds a bonus DVD or something a year after its release, like they did to their first album. I like the Strokes just fine, but not enough to buy the album twice. :nonono:

Doesn't quite have the impact of the first album - took a bit longer for me to like it, but now I reckon it's up there with Is this it - some great melodies and guitar work. The fact is that they never deserved or asked for all the hype surrounding them - they're simply a good band with great tunes, no more no less - they can't control what the press writes about them. And as for wishing they would disappear in a few years - :wtf: - so basically if you don't like a band, hopefully no-one else will get a chance to enjoy their music? Great attitude.
