your favourite Movement songs

I know this album gets alot of flak but I think it will become an essential classic. It's got a few gems and one of my personal favourites off it is 'Doubts Even Here'

Truth, Doubts Even Here, Senses, and Denial

Doubts without a doubt. Ha, cheese-factor got a little high with that one didn't it..?

If I had to pick a favorite I'll go with Truth followed closely by... well... hmmmm... everything else. I really enjoy the whole album.

"Chosen Time" does it for me, barring "DNE". I've always liked this track. I think it must the beat. :D

I'm gonna go w/ Mr. Chocolat said..."Chosen Time" at the top for me.

Chosen Time a short head in front of Denial with Doubts Even Here two lengths back in third.

after watching 316 several times, I've moved 'Senses' ahead of 'Doubts Even Here', what a brilliant song! in fact the more I listen to this album the more it's becoming one of my favourites...

Agreed. The phasing synth bit that overwhelms it at the end is absolutely beautiful.

It was a close decision between Denial and Chosen Time. Of the other tracks, Truth, DNE and DEH would have gone well with the first two if they were released as a mini-lp.

I love "Denial".

Out of this bunch, I have to go with "The Him".

Chosen Time - love it live from Taras Shevchenko video, and I think it anticipates a lot of the subsequent development of New Order's sound.

DOUBTS EVEN HERE, because of the synths chords.

the him. if you held a gun to my head. otherwise, DNE is the only song on this album that rates at all for me.

Dreams never end only for me...likewise Regret from Republic and nothing else...

Doubts Even Here. I Like Gillian`s bits (HER VOCAL BITS I MEAN ON THIS OCCASION!)

My favorite too, same reason, Next would be The Him (kicks along quite nicely) and the intro to ICB. I imagine if DNE had been included the % would have been way up there, Gets my vote everytime.

I love them all.

being honest. the albums cack. don't like any song off it. and i bet the band don't either.

The Movement album is growing on me a lot, I actually like it more than PCL, LL and BH.

Tough choice between The Him (best lyrically) and Doubts Even Here (best musically along with Dreams Never End) but I went with The Him, seems DEH has enough votes anyway :p

But every song is enjoyable to me.

Chosen time is best track (including DNE). And its a poor cousin to the live verson. The album sucks. It would be in my Top Ten worse albums ever.

If you put some of the b-sides such as In A Lonely Place, Cries and Whispers, Mesh, and even Temptation and Hurt on there it would be a better album.

Denial, although I think Movement generally has some strong tracks - the Peel Session versions of Truth, Senses and ICB show how, with better (cleaner?) production and sound, NOs 1st album could have been really strong... One of my flights of fancy is for the band to rerecord Movement in its entirity - maybe the next logical step for them given the all JD sets?

Denial would be my number 1 off there. I love the lyrics(a little too close to home hehe). I think I would put the version of Truth from the peel sessions over that.

I'm a big defender of Movement as a whole, so it's tough for me to single out one track other than DNE. I voted for Chosen Time, but all of them are pretty strong, especially played live.

For me, it's Dreams Never End, easily.

I love them all, but Dreams Never End, Chosen Time, The Him and Doubts Even Here would make a perfect EP.

Denial was my favorite-very intense, gut wrenching song.
