Piercings: Yea or Nay?

I bring this up simply because the "hot new trend" (judging by all those angry white rock videos on MTV and stuff) is multipile piercings in places like your ears, eyebrows, nipples, chin, etc. I don't get it, it seems like yet another "conformity mistaken as rebellion" sort of thing, but what do you guys think? I wouldn't want my ear(s) pierced, much less my nipples. I value my nipples to feed my young.....um, anyway, what do you guys think?

I can undrstand ear piercings, but any piercings in any other area grosses me out, especially Prince Alberts :barf:

Something that was refreshing about my last girlfriend was that she had no tattoos, no piercings-- just the body nature gave her. Very nice. She also had the personality nature gave her.

Other than my right ear, I wish to have no more piercings, especially because kept getting infected for 2 years after I got it pierced. But, piercings will quickly fade out or become like slap-braclets.

Generally, I think it's quite silly. However, the cutest girl I've ever seen at my school was this emo-ish Christian girl (don't ask me how that works, as I don't want to know) with a ring in the middle of her lower lip. Ahhhhh...she was damn beautiful.

I had my tongue pierced four years ago, i couldn't believe the pain i went through, i had a two millilitre needle shoved thru my tonge and i filled up a third of a styrofone cup with blood. I had to wear an extra long rod in my tongue for a week because it swelled up so much, i couldn't talk properly and the only food i was aloud to have was soup, and i had to rinse my mouth out with listerene twice a day. When i got a normal rod put in the ballbearings kept coming loose until eventually i swallowed it while having dinner. For the next couple of days i was worried it would do serious damage to my bowels, but thankfully i passed it (at least i think i did) not a pleasant experience at all and to top it all off i payed $150 for this "fashion statement".

I hear tongue piercings are supposed to enhance oral sex?

In order to research this for NOOL I am inviting girls with tongue studs to demonstrate their talents on me.

Of course, to make a proper study, you'd have to have a control group, say, women without tongue studs, and a test group, women with tongue studs, and a fairly high number of experiments to derive a representative sampling from which you can arrive at an accurate conclusion.

used to have my tongue pierced. i had no complaints from the opposite sex. ;)

it got annoying after a while, so i removed it. same with my eyebrow ring. my navel ring never healed, so out it came. still have the nose ring, though. the first piercing i got, and the one i'm going to keep for a while. it's the only piercing i now have. and that includes the ears!

as for the tattoo haters: to me, it depends on what and where it is. mine are all in places i can hide them if need be (and i need to, being a teacher), and they all have special meaning for me--representing places i've traveled to or lived in (except for the cat...that one represents my love for cats. duh.). i thought them all through quite thoroughly before i got them and i have no regrets!

Ha. Actually, it decreases women's skills. One of my g/fs had no tongue piercing for a while. Good skill, but as soon as she got it she had none.. Male on the other hand, I've heard it does add skill.

Couldn't agree more as far as nipples go. Belly button ones never bothered me though.
