Now, don't throw tomatoes at me, but I LOVE Technique. Fine Time is a good one, but I do love me some Dream Attack, Round and Round, and Vanishing Point. That album is what got me hooked on New Order (besides BLT and Your Silent Face.) I was 14 when it came out and it reminds me of good times during my "troubled adolescence." :p
really very easy to make a complete twat of yourself dancing to fine time, which in my eyes is a big plus. I have periods of loving technique and then not wanting to listen to it at all but fine time, love less, guilty partner and dream attack are exempt from this shocking fickleness
This song kicks ass. In some ways, maybe their best dance tune. With a nice touch of humor, to boot.
Interesting lyrics, crazy dance beats, cool synthesiser sounds...one of their classic songs.

Their last great dancefloor track. This fit right in with all the anonymous white label stuff spinning in Ibiza or Detroit or Fridays at the Hacienda.
I don't see how anyone could listen to this and not want to dance their ass off.

'But most of all, you've got love technique'
Most wicked funny line in the entire song.
I love it.
And while it's no 'Perfect Kiss', I love me some 'Fine Time'!! ![]()

Trust me, I do that everytime I hear that song. Not Barney's dancing, just the 'making a complete twat of myself dancing to Fine Time' part. I can't help it. It's a fun song.
And yeah, Barney did make a good complete twat of himself at the end. But hey, that's Barney for ya.
Fine Time is a decent track - a track of its time.
It's not a classic but doesn't deserve deletion either.
I prefer DDI anyway - great tune! :D
