i like shellshock--always have. it was probably the first new order song i heard (pretty in pink), but i didn't know anything about the band back then so i didn't associate it with new order until 1987.
state of the nation has always been one of my least favourite NO songs--but i did buy the 12", nonetheless. i don't dislike it as much as i used to, but if they had never recorded it it would be no great loss to me.
SOTN is one of my NO favorites live or otherwise but I prefer State of the Nation in its stripped down live renditions as opposed to the raucous studio recording.
