What's your favourite NewOrder DVD to date?

Pumped Full Of Drugs. that tension...

'5/11'... But not only, along with both '3/16' and 'P.F.D.'

As I only have 2, I'll go with 316.

Barney's 'whooping' on 511 irritates me.

Interview with Miranda Sawyer is good.

Pumped Full Of Drugs is the real deal. Taras Shevchenko is cool though.

316...because not only does it feature the Taras gig listing all Movement stuff and the best version of EGG,but it has Reading,just about the greatest comeback gig...EVER!

I have no DVD player (wrong, one on the computer)... Just three tapes : here are the young men, taras shevchencko and substance 1989.

New order is a music band, isn't it ? Therefore I prefer to listen to them. See my tapes has been a good time, but only once... I cannot stand before a TV set...

Well the DVD that i like is the 3 16 because it was my firts DVD that i had it!!!!!!!

316 2 gigs for the price of one

I was disappointed in NOstory to be honest. The great bulk of it is music clips - which I have on the other DVD. I would really like to see Pumped Full of Drugs - but I understand this was a limited or single country release?

3 16, as both gigs are superb.

PFD, but i don't have it in dvd, only in vhs My fave dvd is 3 16

I pefer the video to dvd of ES TOC DE POP, i did, with part of their classic STUDIO 54 performance from Barcelona 84 - Classic New Order !

I have to say to date that while I do really dig the live concert DVDs, after laboring 12 years with that chopped up US version of NOStory I'm glad to have finally seen the entirety of it and like it infinitely better as a result.

I'm just a sucker for the quibbling twitterings during the quiz show and the interview process.

The Problem i have with NewOrderStory is the godawful narration written by Paul Morley and spoken by Jenny Seagrove, absolutely horrible, it ruins the whole doco for me.

People actually own a selection of N/O DVDs?! Crumbs I don't own any! I really must watch more TV/DVD's! It's good for you right?
Here's the thing, I nearly bought the ITEM thingy but then all these comments came out that you can't watch it on a UK DVD player. Was this the final consensus? Can anyone at all with a UK DVD player watch these things? I've got a Phillips all-in one TV + DVD but the manual's a load of crap. It tells me chuff-all about what kind of DVD player I've got. So i just don't know. I'm starting to get jealous!

I definitely agree with you, there. They could have left all that talk out of the entire film, and it'd have been almost* perfect.

* Making it perfect would be making it have all sorts of tidbits from interviews they did at other times, and maybe a better selection of TV show appearances, but that's really not the feel Morley had in mind, is it? :P He was tryin' to make the Spooooky.

I love both but the most amazing for me is 511 :)

have a look if your player is NTSC capable. either way they'd be very silly to sell dvds that can't be played. i always play my NTSC dvds in PAL mode anyway. it saves me from having to adjust the colour each time, ie to make red appear as red and nor purple, and then to have to change it all back for all my other dvds. if you play them on the computer it doesn't seem to matter, what format the dvd is.

I love both but 511 have an incredible sound !

there are all different...different periods, we can see the band changin' year after year.The videos ask another question..there are little movies, songs'illustrations. As i saw on the poll the first one - i mean the Taras concert - is more appreciated by the fans.It's my choice too, because of their early years style, their failures and this mix beetween shyness and a real determination to write and play something new.Something different than what they played as JD. The recent live sets are cheerful moments.They are confident in themselves and the band has obviously reached the point where they wanted to reach.We see a great rock band,with nice human beings, playing their now classical material.
