i don't believe he's taking a piss, but i also think two years down the line he might have a change of heart. Well, who knows what the real issues are between Hooky and Sumner. Their will always be speculation.

I think most people are more worried that if there is no New Order then there will be no New Order Online.

I always felt that after they 're-grouped' in 1998 after the hiatus that its always been a loose arrangement anyway and they just did as they felt at that moment. I think Jack has made it clear that its over for now, and he obviously knows the score. Maybe it could be different 12 months down the line, who knows?

After Factory went tits ups, and Republic wasn't exactly on par with the past they went away, it wasn't the end of the world was it? There was plenty still going on, Twenty Four Hour Party People, the various remixes,compilations etc. Thats without the side project albums!

Maybe once Control is done with and FreeBass has seen the light of day the time may be right for one last album.

If thats not the case, look what they've give us. Fucking legends through & through, and thats enough for me!

I voted no split because, while they may very well be splitting up now (I'll take Jack's word for it) I think they'll be back together again at some point. They just need some time apart. Maybe a good marriage counselor can help?

curious minds like myself, want to know what barney did this time? This is an ideal time for them to work on an album, because tension is good for music.
