Best New Order Studio Album

There is no doubt in my mind that this poll has been posted at least ten times, but here it is for the heck of it.

voted low life ,, though could have shaved 1/ track and added,, 1/2... brotherhood ,, great songs underproduced from, 93 onwards good production,, some average songs.

power corruption and lies , very clear production, confident a couple of weak songs makes it no 2

movements still me fave though.

counted my duties when all said and done.

I voted low life cos its the first NO album i bought,

have always liked Technique,more than others,

but recently songs from Movement have been popping up on the ipod,so I find myself putting that on more than others recently

First it was WFTSC. Then Movement.

Now it's Technique. Been my favorite for the past week or so...

Technique is probably the most played and enjoyable album for me, so that got my vote.

It was a tough decision, I was leaning towards PC&L, or even Movement.

Ooooh, it's such a hard question and easier to answer in the negative. Get Ready and Republic are clunkers, Sirens call is good for 6/7 songs.

I love Technique (even though it's the NO album for people who don't like NO ) Low life has some amazing songs but a couple of fillers too many (Elegia, Face Up, Love Vigilantes). I like it that Brotherhood is split into a "Rock" side and an "Electronic" side but I could still lose a few from it. So, I suppose I'd be split between PCL (easily the most consistent song wise and for sound- except for that really bad version of We All Stand, much better on Peel sessions) and Movement (Chosen Time is still one of my all time favourites. And denial and senses just make me fall over when I hear em- so I usually sit down now!)

Er, so can I have two? Movement and PCL equal

But then what about the mini album that collects the early "Electro" singles? Doh!

It's in the lead at the moment.

I'll be honest, I have NEVER heard the Peel sessions version of We All Stand. So I'm not sure where to agree on ya there.

I mean, I love the song and all, but I've only heard two versions of it. PC&L version: great! Ayr '83: awesomeness [Steve, thank you for that infectous beat...]

OH! It's neck and neck between 'Power, Corruption and Lies' and 'Technique'. My two favs. Interesting...

Crystal - incredible. Primitive Notion - dark, heavy and propulsive. Rock The Shack - today's earworm - couldn't stop humming the chorus Someone Like You - superb intro, gets better Run Wild - very moving Turn My Way - great production, great song

The whole album is full of great stuff. Steve Osborne did a superb job on production.

WFTSC sounds a bit weak compared to GR. That despite the title track being a classic.

Saw the Primitive Notion v Turn thread around these parts somewhere lately - would def say Primitive Notion now. Helluva song

Just voted for 'Lowlife' to bring it tied for No.1! It used to be 'Technique', when I was younger, but over the years I've come to lean more towards 'Lowlife'.

Sometimes TECHNIQUE, sometimes POWER, CORRUPTION & LIES...

PCLies is one of those perfect albums to me.

Well, I'm glad I get to vote for Technique one more time. :D

'This Time of Night' is a masterpiece.

Gulp, no f****r seems to like Republic and its my favourite.
