I don't know what makes you think you are my friend.

Etiquette? Oh, la di da, Timothy! I wasn`t aware one had to be well-up on the finer points of modern society to a) be a New Order fan & b) post on this board

And as for being "irrelevent shite", that, my friend, is what makes the world go round. If all we had to do was talk about the serious side of New Order here, things would be very boring, & topics would get repeated too often, like they are already

You're bringing me down.

i'd kind of like to see Barney sing "Girls On Film" by Duran Duran.

By the way, 'friend' is a figure of speech. Or haven`t you found out what one of those is yet?

I voted for Mozza, but why not a cover of "Blue Bayou"? :D

I'd like to see New Order do Here To Stay by KORN and then release it with their song of the same name, the two songs would make an interesting juxtaposition, and i have a funny feeling Hooky would LOVE to turn his bass up for the KORN version.

Definitely Walking in Memphis, with Gillian on lead vocals, Hooky on accordion, Stephen on slide guitar and Barney as Bez.

Hell, no more covers for at least one decade, please. Wasn't Vietnam enough?

I have to vote for any Pink Floyd song for NO to cover, because they are so similiar in how they present songs (in some ways). But I would have to choose other and "Welcome to the MAchine" by Pink Floyd instead.......listen to it and tell me it doesn't sound like New Order material.

Although I like Metallica, particularly "Enter Sandman," NO couldn't do the song justice. Maybe they ought to cover "A night like this".. or "A Forest" - but that's already been done. Maybe they can cover the lambada song, and people will start dancing like it's 1990... then again, that may be a bad idea.

I've always said I'd love to see them cover "Paint it black". Ian and Echo & the Bunnymen did a very good job it (IMO) and I'd like to see Barney give it a go in its full glory!

By the way, why is it on these older threads the prior comments are all missing?

none of the above.

bottom line by PIL would be awesome. perfect bassline for hooky and it's in barney's vocal range, more or less.

I'm only happy when it rains by Garbage or Dont fear the reaper by Blue oyster cult. I'd have just loved JD to have covered that famous Monty Python song (Naah not the lumberjack one, the other one  )
