I don't know if it was discussed here recently, but here it goes (again?).
My vote is for tATu, since I liked a lot their cover version for "How Soon Is Now?". ![]()

Yes, T.a.t.u it is - to cover Every little counts and take the song to its logical conclusion
I could've picked Justin Timberlake (cause he's so dreamy!
), but I went with the Strokes. Imagine what they'd do with "World in Motion" or "Shellshock"....![]()

They'd murder it, that's what they'd do! I don't think any of the bands listed should cover NO's stuff, it doesn't really suit them.
Well, I'd like to hear Black Sabbath doing a cover of Everything's gone green. That should be weird ![]()
I was thinking The White Stripes, but i've just heard their cover of "i just don't know what to do with myself" and, my god, it's awful.
I really can't think of any NEW bands worthy of the honour, but John Lydon doing The Perfect Kiss would be nice, I'm sure ![]()
everybody talking about Interpol and it´s not here. personally i don´t like them at all. i´m curious about The Music. i think the kids have potential.
The Strokes doing a cover of Leave Me Alone would be cool.

I hit other, so as to vote for Iio...then realized...not really new...so then I thought about ATB...once again...not really new either...
so give me Ian Van Dahl...

hell yes Tim...much better than my suggestions!![]()
I think it'd be interesting to see VAST do a New Order cover. Maybe a rocking cover of "Temptation".
Or... Black Rebel Motorcyle Club! That actually might work.
:)

They'd murder them, that's what they'd do! I despise the Strokes; they're the most overrated new band. Personally, I'd like to see what BRMC could do; I hear they're into NO.
apparently Skywave has already done an excellent cover of Ceremony, but i would like to see them cover Dreams Never End.

I like BRMC, but those dark kids from the Bay Area would likely butcher any NO song, but I would like to hear them do some JD songs.
I somehow think that Linkin Park would be an interesting candidate to cover something from NO like EGG, I have no idea what it would sound like but I like the idea! Hey a band called The Echoing Green did a wonderful trance version of Ceremony, you should check it out if you can! ![]()
Ozzy covering State Of The Nation is what I want to see most... But Ozzy wasn't on there, so I went with Tatu. They aren't that bad. Dream Attack might suit them. Or Here To Stay.

Is it possible to make that Smiths' track any worse?

Ask Ricky Martin to cover it to make a "come back." But, seriously, no one should mess with that track.

That i can understand mate, if u dont like the Smiths in the first place, then i guess any cover is ok ;).
As for me and the rest who love them, it was nice to see that God himself agrees. As he said to Tony Wilson in the last scene of the 24 hour party ppl movie, "its a pity u dint sign the Smiths"

Hm...I think the band "The Radio Department" whould make a great cover. They sounds very similiar to New Order, but if I had to choose between these - The White Stripes (some track from Get Ready)
I could actually see Justin Timberlake being good with a rendition of 'Angel Dust' or 'Love Less' - after seeing how amusing his video for that Cry Me A River song was, I think he's got a sense of humor in him that could be interesting to see replayed through one of those NO songs.

Or maybe Every Little Counts. Imagine his high voice saying 'I think you are a pig. You should be in a zoo.'
