Best bit--the guitar after Dawn is done wailing

Worst bit--timing/spacing of 1st verse sounds like "if you leave me I'm applauded"

Why I love it--it is a classic NO song--mix of acoustics and synth, guitars, bass keys and drums, perfect "bitch done me wrong" lyrics and in general a rockin' bastard

rating--100%

Best: Powerful once the drums and guitar kick in, Hooky's bass adds another notch, and the keyboards (Gillian?) seal the deal. Barney's guitar solo on the 5 11 DVD compells me to nearly blow my speakers every damn time.

Worst: Suffers from 586itis, the intro is tooooo sloooww and the wailing of the backup singer, this is not Pink Floyd people.

Love/Hate?: Shows they still have some fight and fire left in em.

  1. best bit: The piano break... I just love this.
  2. worst bit: The intro of the album version
  3. why you love/hate it: I prefer the single version, it's powerful and it does the job, it just feels right that way... the problem with Crystal is that I got a mp3 of it much too early, so it wasn't new when the single was released...

Yeah it def ROCKS OUT.Brilliant bass by Hooky.Brilliant piano bit.Great comeback track - no other song would have done the job as good.Lee Coombs mix is the bollocks.

But why is Bernard "aplauded" if she leaves him? "ITS LIKE HONEY YOU CANT BUY IT WITH MONEY" :skeptic:

On second or third listen it evoked that incredible unique feeling you get with a new New Order song when you just think Fuckin hell this band are from heaven!!

No, it's "I'm a poor man if you leave me". It's just that the way the lines are run together can be a bit confusing.

Not one of my favourite NO tunes. Everything is in place for it to be good song but for some reason I find it quite boring. I just feel as if there's nothing to it really, pretty basic and boring. Hooky's bass is good though.

  1. Great kick off track, fun (bitter) song.
  2. I never saw the video for it and the honey/money lyric (even though it makes me giggle if that was their intent).
  3. good song, not my favorite but very respectable.

  1. best bit; Thunderous atmospherics.
  2. worst bit; The video - after the 93 hiatus they still won't show their ass - typical NO: but was dying for this first glimpse of the resurrection in the flesh.
  3. It's just a great tune all round, no flab.

Did anyone notice the band name on the drums in the video 'The Killers' - accident or purposeful eyewinker???

Best Bit-the intro where the guitar kicks in over the drum beat-OMG they are gonna rock!!

"Worst bit - knowing that it spawned the killers"

agreed and knowing that when I saw the video a few months back. "OH NOOOOOo" Tho I loved NO's sense of humor

I knew the Killers was Duran meets New Order

Love it? Damn right! the question at the time was do the geezers still got it? I would have to say YES!
