Ouch! You just named like three of my favorites.. "Dreams Never End" is my theme song (I spin it a lot when ever I'm DJing), oh and technically it wasn't on "Movement". It was released as a single if i recall correctly, and only tacked onto the CD release as a bonus.
I can't imagine anyone disliking Elegia. It's such a powerful song. Besides it was written as an (wait for it....) Elegy to Ian. To me it marks the point where the band almost etirely dropped the Joy Division influences heard on the first three albums.
Paradise is another one I enjoy. Not my fave, but great nonetheless!
Oh and to whomever said Murder!?? They can go slag off (lol).

Every album has its duff choons I think, but the number of duffers has increased markedly since 85.
Movement - I just don't get Dreams Never End, it's like they sort of ran out of ideas halfway through, and it just repeats itself then stops (we rehearsed it yesterday, so the construction is very fresh!). The Him always sounds like they couldn't quite work out where the song was going to come from as well.
PC&L - I like We All Stand as a live song, and the Peel session sounds more like I thought it would end up, but the album version just doesn't do it justice for me. Same with Ultraviolence, a storming live number that they managed to totally subdue on record.
Low Life - Elegia - boring as fook, even the shorter version. Can't stand it!
Brotherhood - Paradise is a piss-weak lazy half-song. Weirdo is marginally better but would never make my Top 40 NO songs. Way Of Life is a joke, surely, a parody of themselves? All Day Long should have been a pleasant instrumental but the vocal ruins it. As for Every Little Counts, this is the most offensively pathetic attempt at making music they have ever done. Utter pish.
Technique - Fine Time isn't all that fine, and doesn't belong on the album for me. All The Way is a blatant ripoff, I'm sure they enjoyed the joke but can't see the point of it really.
Republic - Chemical, Liar and Spooky all need forgetting about. Times Change is just a total cringe from start to finish.
Get Ready - Turd My Way should have been aborted one second in, and Run Wild nearly caused me to throw all my old records away.
WFTSC - I don't get Dracula's Castle, and the title is cringeworthy.
Of the singles - the 12" Subculture is wank, and all versions of Shite of the Nation should be banned.
The rest can stay

I beg to differ. I think Elegia is a gorgeous piece of music and NO's best instrumental by far.

Worst NO, track beyond a shadow of a doubt:- "World In Motion" (even if your unlucky enough to have been born south of the border, John Barnes [the Jamaican Englishman] "Raps" on it fer fuck's sake)!

World In Motion should have a protection act served against it. I really cant understand why people slate it so much. Its the first proper respectable football song ever made. The fact that the FA approached New Order (of all bands) to produce the offical England Italia 1990 world cup song, speaks volume to me. A very brave move when they could have played safe and had a more commercial and widely known act.
The fact that New Order agreed also amazes me, as I dont think they are massive football fans.
The fact it was such a memorable world cup and that England were a whisker away (cos the Argies were there for the taking in the final) from winning the greatest football trophy makes it even more significant.
I also think its a cracking tune, got great vocals from Barney, will always hold fond memories for me, is their only number one single, has arriverderchi in the lyrics and had Keith Allen on board, will mean its always gonna be special to me.
Does anyone else support this?
I used to think that "Working Overtime" was pretty bad, but since I'm not expecting any more new (as in recorded after 2005) NO material, I've come to appreciate it more. Alcohol helps! 
In my opinion though it's still probably their worst track.
I love "World in Motion" though! So maybe the lyrics are ridiculous, but the music (in my opinion) is brilliant. I remember hearing it for the first time and being mesmerised by the dissonant synths (much like the first time I heard "The Perfect Kiss," which is how I fell in love with NO).
Speaking of alcohol, enough of it makes the WiM video the FUNNIEST THING EVER.

Scotland have played at eight World Cup Finals — including 5 consecutive tournaments from 1974 to 1990. They have missed out on progressing to the second round three times on goal difference: in 1974, when Brazil edged them out; in 1978, when the Netherlands progressed; and in 1982, when the USSR went through. Despite playing at eight finals tournaments they have actually qualified on nine occasions but the SFA declined to participate in 1950. England on the other hand with their population of nearly 60 million have only managed to qualify 12 times, a mere 3 times more than the Scots despite their huge population advantage!More a mix of cheap gin and water (gin being of course the Dutch national drink, before the English nicked it from them).
And in Euro 2008, while Scotland
were beating the world cup holders France: all England could manage against the lowly Moldavia was a miserable draw!

Well, I like your sense of humour. But you cant hide from the fact that Scotland have never got past the group stages of the world cup. Peru, Costa Rica, Morocco, Iran, New Zealand and Urugary are just some of the BIG teams you have failed to beat.
I agree that England have over the years underachieved in the tournament but at least we did win it once!:D

I cant remember what I put before (as this is a repeated topic) but I would have to say Way of Life is the most lifeless piece of drab, repetitive tosh Ive heard NO come up with.
I dont like the bass line (which for me doesnt go with the song at all). The acoustic guitar is too low down in the mix. The lyrics are bland and melody is luckluster. I cant find anything in it thats appealing.
The maddening thing about New Order is their occasional lack of quality control. Half of the last two albums should never have made it past the first draft - they could have had one unbeatable record instead of two decent ones.
worst tracks that come to mind are shellshock,finetime and other all new york breakdancing type shite 
I just heard "Haystack" recently. The first time I heard it, I said to myself, "WTF is this song?" Anyway, I gave myself the benefit of the doubt, for I might like it later. After hearing it a couple of times again, I have to say, it's really a BAD track!

They've done thier fair share of duffers and tracks that just aren't to my personal taste, but there's only ONE New Order track i can't actually listen to, and that is Face Up. I've probably managed to listen to it all the way through twice in 20 odd years and i still have nightmares.
From the "bollocks trapped in a vice" karoke vocals to the twee synths, to the juddering bass/keyboard thingy, after a minute of it playing, i'd smash my way through a wall to get to the off button. The amazing thing is they left this on low life, while ditching a track that they deemed sub-standard. I hope to god i never hear that one, though i believe it may have been lets go, which while not a classic at least doesn't induce madness.
The original of Let's Go is I think a classic,but for me the worst track by a country mile is I Told You So,with the version of Let's Go which appeared on Retro being but a pale shadow,I also remember the shock of hearing Fine Time the first time,although the TOTP appearence was pretty funny.
I love State Of The Nation, can't see why many hate it, it's good fun I think.
My least favourite NO tracks are Rock The Shack & Working Overtime
I'm kind of a new NO fan, and all I have is the 2-disc 'singles' compilation (as well as 2 extra tracks 'someone like you' and 'age of consent'), and out of all those, my least favourites were 'subculture' and 'shellshock' - just didn't do it for me
