i have heard many of you slagging of jetstream and world in motion, but surely in comparision with blue monday 98 and the single release of sub-culture they are better tunes not classics but ok

Stop these depressing threads - We've had 'least favourite', 'most overrated' and 'which track do you wish they had never made' in the last few weeks!

 :nonono:  :nonono:

Oh ! I think I've seen this one before ! :skeptic: It's seems quite difficult to find anything interesting to say after a while on this forum, but you have the right to love every N.O song you want (no one talk about worcking overtime and I love this song, I don't care if "others" find it odd)

We-ell, for what it's worth, I'd go for Way Of Life.

We All Stand. Cannot stand. Bernard's voice is agony in motion. Hooky's bass is sexy sometimes but the song just lopes along and on and on and on. Three hundred miles to go.

surely one of the most useless remixes...

Guilt is a useless emotion for me - the worst thing they've ever done by a country mile, surprising since LRD was involved - sounds like an outtake from Raise The Pressure.

Dracula's Castle. What the fook is that about? Utter shiite. Sorry lads...

Everything No have ever released has been utter crap. Even the album tracks suck. Hooky is the worse bass player in the world. All the songs sound identical, Barney is the worse singer and guitarist in the world. The band before them (called Joy Division) were just as bad. Miserable songs with no sense of purpose or emotion.

So I could name about 100 worse ever NO songs. Does anyone know (or care) if they are still going?

By the way. What a lovely thread.:banghead:

I think even Barney got fed up with the extended version (judging by his woeful out of tune guitar work towards the end!).

Word In Motion has to be the worst they just went way too off track there. But I still love it.

It has to be Jetstream.

i don't know if i can say it's a bad song but i've never really appreciated a song like TBTHOG! neither live or on its first issue on a maxi vinyl... but i won't say it's the worst new order song!cos'i don't think that N.O ever recorded a shitty song!:abovelol:

We All Stand is one of the few instances when the studio version failed to catch the essense of the live version. True, I thought it was their worst until I listened to a few live versions. Listen to the Peels session and compare that to PC&L. You'll see, you all will see.

any track that gets used for commericials sucks, like Slow Jam or 60 Miles.

I can't believe anyone would bag the singles version of subculture. i got that on the singles compilation and would've paid $20 just for that song.

I agree with RAVEANE DIDIER et. al., let's focus on the positive and just enjoy NO. Every NO track will be loved (and hated) by someone. I'm fairly new to the Forums, but has there been a poll on favorite NO album? I have to assume so.

I voted for Jetstream, I don't hate this song I just think it is my least favourite song, I still listen to Jetstream and I never skip past it, but for me it there isn't a NO song that I hate, I have my favourites and least favourite, and I totally agree with your comments about focusing on the positive and enjoying NO.
